hands up?

If you have your hands up do your arms get pinned back to the extent of hurting?
On the launch it is actually not painful. The only pain problem I had with the ride was if you lean forward at all either when you first start to go up or when you pull out then you get pushed down really hard and it hurts your back.

Ive had my hands up everytime, and it doesnt hurt your arms or anything. Gerg is right about the pullout and pushing you down though. As soon as you disengage from the launch sled, you level out at speed and it throws you forward a little and then you start to go vertical and it throws you down. I guess with more ride expirence you'll learn how to ride more comfortably.

Another thing. I just thought it would be interesting to see if anyone has actually had a bad time of top thrill dragster. I've only heard good things about it and wanted to see if there was anything bad (other than it being down).
i keep thinking of questions. fat chris, you said that after the launch sled, you get thrown forward a little. is there a big decrease in speed or what's going on there?
I put my arms up on TTD and Hypersonic, neither hurt ;)
Ride in the first car with your hands up, it's the most amazing experience I've ever had (well almost)

2003 ttd 4x, 3 in front and 1x in back front is best

Johnz, it's not a big decrease, and doesnt whip you forward much, just a little, but nothing to be worried about hurting your back over. It's still smooth as silk. :)

It just looks like it's painful, but it's not.

Yeah, I remember when you disengage the sled it seemed to sort of throw you foward. It's still a very smooth ride, though.
Yeah, I noticed that too when I rode it. You also could see on the speedometer, before it would lock onto a speed, hit 122 mph or something and as soon as the train would disengage from the sled it would drop to 117. That kinda threw you off, because that's when the speedometer would lock on. So it would briefly hit around 120 or higher, but then drop down and stay at 117.

Hey, I am glad all of your stories are posted...I, unfortunately, will not be able to ride TTD this year. My bro broke his leg and we were all going to Cedar Point, but the trip is cancelled...thanks to him falling off of his motocross bike...

Can't you stick him in a wheelchair I think you could jump to the front of the line
If he can't move his knee they won't let him ride TTD, along with most if not all of the other rides.
Yeah, MeanStreaker, your concern really makes me care...but I do enjoy your stories, soon I will have my own! He cant bend his leg, he broke his femer.
Ouch! Sorry to hear that.

CNN Headlines News rocks my socks!!
It's official, I'm a news nerd.

You guys (at least some of you) are so full of yourself that you don't give a damn...only thinking about yourself and not having any other care!
My mom broke her femer back in '01 and it's still hurts her sometimes. I'm probably wrong but isn't it the biggest bone in your body?
