Halloweekends...SERVO STYLE!!!

well, we finally made it back to the Point after more than a year. got there at about 8PM Friday night. drove around to the Soak City entrance with U2 blasting on the CD player. got the tix (thanks Spewey!!) and went in for a Maggie ride.

Ron had been waiting 12 years to ride Maggie and was not disappointed. no trims, insanity mode all the way. i was a little disappointed to not see Dan there but oh well.

went to Millie and found a VERY short line. got in 4-2. nice night ride. faster than last year. Ron was blown away. went back for three more. the weather was warm and muggy and my hair was damp when we were done. go figure.

hit Raptor..i'll let Ron tell you guys THAT story. suffice it to say my BF was SHOCKED when he saw his car...

went back to hotel to sleep and meet up with my BF and my best friend. a nice night. 4 MFs, 2 Maggies, one Raptor. not too shabby for four hours.

Saturday...got to park around 11:15. had 2 MFs by noon. a little rain but it quickly cleared up. spent time with MS, CCMR, DT, Gemini (hand smacking, baby!!) and went to the 2PM GTTP meeting at Maggie. nice to meet everyone finally. coasterkingoftheworld, you ROCK!!! so does everyone else. nice to put names and faces together. hit Maggie again and went to eat.

the thing about this trip, for me, at this point, was all about Ron and my friend Emily getting the GTTP "strategy tour" of the park. it worked VERY well till MF went down at 7PM.

My BF had gone to the car for a nap. he'd been sick last week and needed some down time. we hit Mantis. great ride. no trims on the first drop. INSANE!! why cant they just leave that brake off all the time??

got in line for MF. after 30 minutes of waiting, we found out that MF was down mechanical for TWO HOURS (at least that was the estimate). we decided to hit Corkscrew on the way to get the BF. he wanted to do the Frontier Trail fright Zone and then see how he felt. he was rarin' to go when we got to the car. he also can repeat the Gemini speil by heart, as he heard it in his sleep for two hours. HA!

so we hit Gemini and ran into coasterking and his GF. rode with them and had a great ride. lots of nice air.

walke dthe Trail and decided to hit Mantis for a night ride. more insanity MF went back up as we were boarding Mantis. so we hit that next. waited about 30 minutes.

hit Cedar Downs and Blue Streak. by this point we were sooooo tired we couldnt even talk. had a whole BS train to ourselves. pretty cool. the retracking really makes a difference.

went back and slept...

It was nice meeting you Servo!  Thanks for telling coasterkingoftheworld and I about MF being down for 2 hours cuz we headed over there after what we figured was about 1 1/2 hours since it shut down and waited about 5 minutes and they opened it back up!  What timing!  We only waited about 10 minutes for a night ride on MF.  It was coasterkingiftheworld's first night ride :)  Can't wait to hear what kind of fun you had on Sunday at CP!  Coasterkingoftheworld and I went to Six Flags on Sunday for a few hours before heading back to Michigan and everything was a walk on!  Of course we got completely soaked too but it was worth it! :)

Servo wonderful trip report! Thanks for the mentions! SERVO YOU ROCK TOO!!! :) It was so nice for Catherine (fiancee) and I to meet with you and others at 2PM meet. Furthermore, it was even nicer to meet up with you that night at Gemini. Still love that coaster a whole lot!  (As Catherine said went to SFWOA on Sunday for a couple of hours...It was walk-on city...Were letting people re-ride all majors without getting off. Woo-hoo!!!) Hope to see you around CP or SFGrAm sometime in the future. Maybe another meet next year! :)

I got there around that time. Sorry. hey, i was the first one up the ramp when it got back up, so I must have been some luck. A train load of people were still up there!

Joe E. I was on the third train out. Just must have missed you. Sorry couldn't hook up and meet. But, I was glad we were just outside the queue when they reopened. That line just grew enormously after we rode. P.S.-Thanks for not breaking MF or any ride for us this time....LOL!!!
