If it were me, I'd still plan on going and wait and see. 60% chance of rain 2 days in advance means nothing the way the forecasts have gone this season.

I'd say you should stay totally away from the park until at least 4pm on Saturday. Everyone.

So I can enjoy the park with minimal crowds

I still will go. The weather man don't get it right most of the time. It rains more by the islands and south of the POINT. Sometimes the Rides are open with light rain. THE THUNDER and LIGHTING will keep the rides close.

A day away and there's still a 60% chance

It's clear the weather is going to make-or-break your visit, so just don't go.

Unless it's going to rain all day does it really matter?

CP has its own unique weather. They can say it will be cold but feel hot, say its hot but the winds will make it cold... Call for rain but not a drop falls or say it will be sunny and a monsoon storm will come out of nowhere and force you under the GK station as a storm shelter (happened).

Just go!

Current forecast looks ugly, but the rainfall predictions are dropping fast. Throw in the fact that this is Ohio on Lake Erie, and there could be no rain by the time Friday evening comes around. Or it could be a washout. It's pretty much a crapshoot.

Right now it actually looks worse rain wise for Saturday because the Friday storms are supposed to be scattered. Saturday just says rain. I'm going by my local forcast but I don't live far enough away for there to be that much difference. Usually whatever Sandusky gets ends up at my house about an hour to hour and a half later and a just few degrees warmer or cooler because of the lake. My plans were for Saturday. I may change, don't know. If it rains Saturday I have to sit outside for a soccer game early afternoon anyway. I'll already be wet so it may not matter, depends on how heavy, steady, and opinions of the rest of the family.

It will likely rain. I still think you all should stay away ;)

I'll still be there at least.

And there's a decent shot at waterspouts on Lake Erie tomorrow morning and early afternoon.

I've yet to see a waterspout up there. Hopefully someday.

I go perch fishing this time of year and have been out when the forecast has been calling for them. Nothing.

There is a chance of rain next weekend when I am planning on going, too...But I am not too worried.

I only get 1 trip a year as I have to drive 10 hours to get there.

Last year it rained the entire time, but we still had a blast.

A day in the rain at Cedar Point is still better than any day in the office!

I'm going tonight, they could predict Armageddon and I'd still be going.
Like stated above, you never really know what's gonna happen. Lake Erie storms can develop and disappear in the blink of an eye. It's best just to go and make the best of it.

I agree with bholcomb. I think everyone should just stay home tonight. LOL

Unfortunately, I can't make it tonight. So that's one of us.

According to this radar, there is a huge chunk of rain to our south. If it continues it's course, I'd predict it to get here between 6-9PM tonight.

I know many of you will say a rainy day at the park is better than sitting at home or being at work, but I don't feel that way when I have to stand in a building and none of my favorite rides are open.

All I know is that the rain better not delay my flight. I'm leaving OKC at 6:30 EDT and hoping to make it in time tonight for a few rides on Magnum.

I think tonight will be a bit of a washout at this point unless there are some clear patches in between. I considered going but right about the time I told the kids we should consider it because of how empty the park was it started raining and the radar doesn't look promising. I'm sticking with Saturday.
