So, I'm planning on going to Halloweekends on Halloween. But, does the Point deck anything out or do anything special on Halloween? Also, would this be the worst day to go due to crowds? Any better suggestions?
Also, this would be my first year at Halloweekends. What should I do and what can I skip? Help me out!
I'm not sure that Halloween would be any more or less crowded than your typical Halloweekends Saturday, and like most of them, will probably be mostly dependent on weather. Last year Halloween was on a Friday, and it seemed crowds were about average on that night.
Since you say this is your first year at Halloweekends, I'll assume you've been to the park and done all the rides before? If getting in a bunch of rides isn't a major concern, I'd focus your efforts on the haunted houses, especially the two new ones, during the day. Then hit the line for Corn Stalkers right when they open at 8. Enjoy the other 4 outdoor zones and maybe some shows after that.
If you want both rides and Halloweekends stuff, a Friday evening would probably be your best bet. Crowds are generally light. Ride selection is limited (although all your major rides are open) and all the Halloween stuff is available. The biggest thing you'd miss out on with a Friday night is the Monster Midway Invasion Parade.
I also attended last year on the friday and it was not busy but Saturdays generally are.
Halloween is tricky as some people like to go to the park but a lot of people have other engagements so it was not remarkably busy.
There are no significant events outside of the regular Halloweekends stuff but I believe that is likely enough...
I'm going out to get some air.
