Halloweekends - what kids rides will be closed?

I'm planning to go to Cedar Point this weekend with my family. Our plan is to buy 2011 season passes and get our free entry this year. My kids are 9 and 8 and mostly we will do only kiddie rides with mild coasters thrown in (nothing over a 4 rating). so none of the big, bad coasters.

Does anyone know whether any rides will be closed on Saturday?

We would be there for noon opening and and probably stay there all day. How busy are kids rides (not the baby ones - the mid range ones)? I'm thinking with Halloweekends it should be mostly teens and up who go? Not so much the younger crowd?

We'll be wanting to do stuff like Gemini Jr, woodstock express, and maybe the wildcat.

My plan would be to do the kids rides first things - particularly the more popular coasters, then shows all afternoon and evening, then back to kids rides until closing. Would this be the best way to avoid long lines?

I'm a bit of an overplanner so all details are super helpful. I just got back from Disney where we waited an average of 5-10 mins for each ride during a busy long weekend. (can u tell I'm not a fan of lines?)

The only rides "planned" to be closed, will be Snake River Falls, Mean Streak, and Thunder Canyon. The rest of the rides should be open on Saturday.

Lines for most of the rides can get pretty large on a Saturday. The lines start clearing out on most of the rides around when the haunted stuff opens. I have done 6 rides in 30 minutes on Dragster on a Saturday night right before closing. So it's possible that some of the popular rides will not have large lines around closing. The kids areas tend to clear out around 10 or so when parents with the kids meet back up with there teens and head home for the night.

Hope this helps a bit.

Also, Camp Snoopy will close early so it can convert to CarnEvil. 7:00 I think?

^ That's correct, they do close at 7 on Saturdays. Planet Snoopy stays open until midnight. Be sure to catch the parade at 4 PM!

Thanks _ I'll make sure we're done with Camp Snoopy early then - I hadn't realised that.

any advice on junior coasters that may get long lines on a saturday?

With decent weather almost every ride will have a moderate-high line for most of the afternoon, until around Haunt opening. In my experience riding some of the more popular coasters around 9 to closed should have shorter lines than before. Coasters like Iron Dragon, Mine Ride, Blue Streak will probably have mid afternoon lines of 20-45 minutes. Due to low capacity coasters like WildCat, Jr. Gemini and Woodstock can have pretty long waits.
