Remember... Cedar Fair had their first profitable fourth quarter ever last year. Halloweekends (with Knott's Scary Farm) are huge.

The park has lots of family/kid friendly things to do during Halloweekends. The haunted houses and fright zones are not one of them.
And then one day you find ten years have got behind you
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun
There is plenty of kids stuff - "The House on Boo Hill" in the dodgem building, the Midway Monsters, the show they do in front of the big screen, 2 magic shows, and even the EAP readings (although thats probably for older-young kids).

Halloweekends brings more kid friendly activities to CP than the normal operating season.

I sure hope closing day isn't crowded this year. I pray for snow.
I'm with you on that one...

A Saturday in October can be as busy as a Saturday in July or August.
I was at one in October a couple of years ago that just blew me away. I have NEVER seen the park that packed. I heard at the time that it set an attendance record.

It is usually pretty crowded on Saturday halloweekends but its so much fun and worth it that time of the year. Plus the four hours of nighttime riding is just great.
Closing day is the best day to go. The last 4 years i've gone closing day and everything is walk-on to near walk-on. It's amazing!!

ooh boy... I'm actually visiting NYC from Australia in October, and will be attending Cedar Point on the closing weekend (Friday night/half of Saturday).. All these discussions of the crowds on the closing weekend have got me pretty nervous!! Ah well.... not much you can do. I can't be there any other weekend so I'll just have to enjoy it as much as I can! As long as I can ride MF, Magnum, Raptor and (if it's open) TTD.. all of them at least once, I'll be happy. That's all I'm asking!
