On the CP site, it states:
"Guests who have ridden Millennium Force in the past may no longer meet the requirements of the current rider restraint system."
Is this something new, or has it been this way for a while?
I think that statement has been there for a year or two now. That was when they replaced the belts to the same as Dragsters.

oh ok. Just wondering. Wouldn't wanna get there and find out that I can't get my fat ass on my favorite coaster. :)
I swear it did not say that on the site last year. Don't want to freak anyone out but I read it last year and I don't remember this being there.
I'm going out to get some air.
Now you got me wondering... can anyone explain this?
I read the policies last year and remember the rest being there but not that line.
It is perhaps because over the year since the seatbelts were shortened there were complaints of "I went on it last year." Maybe they put it there to combat these complaints.
I would assume if there were a change to MF there would be a change to TTD. Nothing says there has been.
I think the issue arrose when they replaced the seatbelts as stated but was that not the year TTD came? That was quite a few years ago now...

i was thinking the same thing. They probably had a lot of people complaining about fitting in the past. I'm guessing that the seat belts are probably the same size they were last year. Hmm... Tony would know this for sure :)
I emailed him. We will see what he says if he replies.,
The only other answer is that they are replacing them due to wear and tear and they are tighter.
I can't see them making them any shorter.

They are kinda snug. I mean I'm not a twig, but not a blimp either haha. I don't see how much smaller they could get.
I know there was a lot of harsh feedback when they made them smaller. If they make them any smaller a lot of people wont be riding. I have gone with friends who I would call a little more than average who don't make it as it is. I can't see them wanting to take any more criticism and make them shorter.
I don't know of any other parks where this is such an issue. I guess I have seen it with OTSR but I dunno.
I hope they are not shorter again. I realize it is a safety feature but it depends a lot on proportions. Some very heavy people make it on if they are dispersed in the right places.
I have never had to get assistance for my seatbelt but I can't say I have a lot of extra slack. Probably just the required amount....

What counts as exceptional size? I have no prob at all fitting into the seats, but this year I'd love it for my dad to ride some coasters with me and he is about 6'3" 250.

I'm about 99% sure that line about people who fit in the past not fitting anymore was on the website last season.
And then one day you find ten years have got behind you
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun
That line has definitely been there for several years now.
2005: Cash Control/TTD
2006: TTD/PWE
2007: TL Demon Drop
2008: TL Millennium Force/ParkOp Office
Ok I missed it last year. Tony was nice and replied there is no expected change.
"To my knowledge, they have not changed from last year. The message on
the site is for those who may not visit us on a regular basis, as the
restraint system did change a few years after it opened."
For those who are still curious about who this is an issue for. Those with bellies are ok and it effects a lot of women vs men because it is a but/thighs issue.

They replace them every year. 2005 was the year this whole fiasco started. They were A LOT shorter then than they have been the last couple years. They've gotten gradually longer and last year I believe they were longer than they have been since this whole mess started. They also used to be really picky about the riders having to pull the required slack, but anymore I think they could care less. Last year I had a ride op on
TTD tell me that they really don't worry about the slack anymore. As long as you can buckle it, you can ride.

I like your screen name. I am male 6ft 270lb. I can just barely fit on Millenium. I have a little bit of a problem on Dragster but I can fit ok. If I get over 280 I have trouble fitting on Wicked. But, I can ride everything else with no problem. So, I think your father should be ok but obviously there is no way for me to know for sure.
2008 visits = 38, 2009 = 19, 2010 = 11, 2011 = 14, 2012 = 10, 2013 = 14, 2014 = 14, 2015= 13, 2016 = 11, 2017 = 5, 2018 = 3
I believe it also makes a difference on what you are wearing if you can fit. My Husband is 6'4 and about 230lbs and never has a problem. He usually has some slack on Millenium, but one time it was really cold and he was wearing a Hoodie and he almost couldn't get his belt buckled. He also always sits to my Right. He has an easier time getting it buckled then if he sits to my left, don't know why? He says he can see what he is doing better.
I weigh 240 and I'm 5' 6". I can't ride the front part of the WildCat since they installed the new seatbelts, but I can ride the back. I can't ride Wicked Twister, TTD or MF. I can just barely make it on Raptor. I haven't tried Blue Streak or Mantus yet.
Mean Streak isn't a problem now since they have retractable seatbelts. My lower abdomen is big but I've been working on it.
I can barely fit the Mine Ride, (the lapbar hurts the sides of my legs around those turns, so I only ride it a couple of times).
I think it all depends on where your wieght is distributed.
