Group sales

Hi everyone. This will be my first summer working at Cedar Point. I'll be working in Group Sales. Has anyone worked in this department before, or is anyone working there this summer? I'd apprecite any info you have about the job. Thanks!
Are you working group sales for Park Admissions or for Marketing?

Marketing.
Hi Camden! It looks like you're one of the lucky people that landed a summer internship at Cedar Point! Good for you! I don't know too much about the actual aspects and responsibilities of your job, but I do know that you will have the opportunity to both work closely with full-time members of Cedar Point's Marketing staff and with representatives of organizations and businesses that are clients of the park. You will also work with members of the Group Sales staff in Park Admissions.

If you have any specfic job-related questions, you may wish to speak with your full-time manager. Otherwise, feel free to ask any questions you may have about living and working at the park. We'll be glad to help.

I was curious about one thing...does anyone think that having an office job at CP makes the experience less enjoyable? Will I feel like I'm missing out on anything? Thanks for your input!
Maybe with an office job you'll miss out on some of the drama that can occure on rides or anyother place. But then again, drama seems to follow people to the ends of the earth. Well, certain people anyways. CP is a lot like college, but instead of classes you go to work for 10-12 hours a day. You'll be partyin and hanging out with your friends in the evening and you'll have a great time. Be thankful though you do have an office, I'm sure you will be loving the AC come july and august. With one final comment, camden you'll get out of CP what you put into it. That can be said with a lot of things but its true. If you want to have the time of your life you've come to the right place.

No, if you work in the office you're gonna meet a lot of people. I used to hang out with the girls that worked in the foods office a lot (I was an area supervisor so I spent time up there once in a while). You get air conditioning, which is a lot more of a selling point than it sounds... you also get to play on the radio. But if you're new then I would jump on an office job right off the bat.
