Great People You Meet At Cedar Point

One of the last rides on GateKeeper yesterday(5/19), I was on the platform ready to ride. My son and daughter were lined up in row 2, me in row 3. A woman, in row 4, with her 2 younger daughters were right behind us. They had not been on Gatekeeper yet. Mom asked me if it was OK if her daughter would ride with me because she did not want her to go alone. While waiting for the gates to open, we had a great chat over 3 rows. She was a little nervous about riding, but has been on everything but TTD. My daughter, 14, kept reassuring her, that she would love it.
Of course, during the ride, she was screaming with sheer excitement. When we got off the ride, she thanked me, and gave my daughter a hug, while grinning ear to ear.
That was a great way to end a great day at Cedar Point!

Oh! And the guy who has his headphones on all day and dances and sings to his music! That guys just lovin life!

Last year, in Disaster Transport's queue, a very energetic guy was singing "Homemade fries and Dippin Dots, Dippin Dots." That's become sort of a thing for us now.

This thread is much needed.

A few years back, while in a 2 hour long line for Millennium Force, my friend and I were standing behind a few guys around our age. They were from another state and we all got into mindless coaster chat. They were a great, energetic group of people, and we all ended up talking the remainder of the wait. We all rode the ride together and at the end of the ride we all exchanged numbers. The one guy and I became incredibly close friends, going on 5 years now. Even though he lives 5 hours away, I consider him to be like a brother to me. It's crazy how waiting in line for a ride can form into an incredible friendship!

Unless he runs into you or pushes your wife out of the way to run back on the ride like a 10-year-old child.

I would like to thank whoever drew the large male member in the sand underneath the windseeker over the weekend. I didn't get to meet him, but I enjoyed his work. My wife pointed it out and We spent the whole ride trying to read his name. He wrote his name on it.

Trolling is a beautiful form of art :)

I'm sure the parents with young kids on the ride enjoyed it too

I have heard mixed things about Single Rider Bob, Ive never met him and only seen him in the park once.

Dose anyone know anything about the headphones guy, First time I saw him was in the Maverick line, he was in the indoor part of the line where he would echo and amply his voice. he was just singing and dancing, towel around his neck, woo'ing and getting everyone else to woo back. made the line more entertaining for sure.

Wonder if that is who I I sa llast Friday night pushing past my goddaughter and me for the front seat on what ended up being the last GK train of the night.

I saw SRB at Ohio State Day, and I agree with Jeff, he does enjoy pushing through people to get back in Millennium's line.

Yes, because a young child seeing such a thing would be so horrific and taint their young mind forever... -__-

I figured a child was the artist. I'm thinking sixth or seventh grade.

This reminds me of when I was at Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk last summer. This guy would spend all day forming something in the sand. When we were there, he formed a nearly life-sized shark. It was truly amazing how perfect it was.

I always love when I'm with an odd group of people and I sit with somebody that has never ridden the ride before or when I sit with somebody that knows just as much about Cedar Point as I do.

I've seen enough rudeness from Single Rider Bob that a "Great People" thread should not contain a reference to Single Rider Bob.

It'd be great to see SRB get a taste of his own medicine

I wonder what would happen if someone said "no, I dont want you to ride with me" to SRB as he is searching for another single rider in the front of the line to join up with. Has anyone done this?
