Good Source Suggests

I know most have heard this before but a good source suggests the following:

1) L-twist into-TH-twist out-B
2) 425 feet
3) 125 mph

First indications of height should be additions to existing construction equipment (or the long awaited CP announcement).

There might be some merit to the thought that CP is attempting to build before or be grandfathered from future amusement ride regulation.

Regulation is only for rides within the state of New Jersery, as of now. And even so....this new ride wouldn't exceed any of those regulations anyway. So keep dreaming dude.

Your stats are close...but not quite on.

I haven't heard much about this law. What will it limit on new coasters. I did hear it was a limit on g-forces. Does anyone know exactly what they are? Is Ohio in danger of getting these crap laws? Thanks for any input.
New stats showed am. park rides are safe and are no threat to a healthy person.I read this in the paper and on line It was done by some big med school cant remember darn it!!
there might be some height restraints in the future tho like at SFWOA hope not .Theres always some buerocrat trying to do some unintended good for everybody Don't worry now.

I'm not an old foggy I'm just an old coaster rider..
The one at SFWoA is just becaust the city of Aurora wont let them build any higher than 210 ft. I don't see this being a problem at CP because it is on the penninsula. On the ride stats, they seem like they are believable, and presented in a way that is believable (unlike most people's first posts). That would be incredible to get launched at that speed. The only reason I ride WT is for the launch, and this will be a lot better. I won't be dissapointed by this coaster, and if the ride times are under a minute, it just means less wait time.
The current law in NJ is only for limiting g-forces, not height. In fact, I haven't heard of any height restriction possibilities outside of those imposed by local authorities, and those are mostly because surrounding neighborhoods don't want coasters looming over their skyline.

Just one correction: Isn't it going to be a R-Twist before the TH? It seems like someone else in another thread also talked about "rolling to the left" as you go up the first tower. Am I missing something here? It sure seems like we will be rolling to the RIGHT.

Comment: If this thing is going to come down the left tower while twisting (like WT), you guys can forget about not having horsecollars!

Has anyone seen any track that twists to the left? I can't find any in the pictures. Not a single one to be found. ALL the twisted track in the pictures twists to the right.
Please excuse the out of norm abbreviations used in original post.

L-twist into-TH-twist out-B refers to:
Launch, twist into the top of Top Hat (unknown direction, amount, or direction of twist), Top Hat, twist from the top of Top Hat (unknown direction, amount, or direction of twist), Brake.

Also, additions to existing construction equipment does not refer to adding more construction pieces, rather, adding onto what is there.

Sorry about the confusion.

Sorry, Al2000. I mis-took your L to be Left instead of Launch. I went back to another post where I found that it was CP Bound who had truly made the mistake of saying that the twist would be to the left. He later realized his mistake.
Coasterbob,
This is True, but... You'll have to remember that if the track twists to the right, the riders will be twisting to the left, and if the track is twisted to the left, riders will twist right. Kinda like if you spin a pencil clockwise, then look at it from the top, its spinning in the opposite direction.

It's all about getting around the barrels, or over the fences, right leads, no faults, fastest time and looking pretty when done. What's so hard about that? :)

Why? WT only has OTSRs because it is inverted, and a twist in the track while going straight down is not an inversion. Look at Expedition: Ge Force in Germany - I know the drop isn't straight down, but it's fairly steep, and it twists, but there are no OTSRs. It's also another Intamin product. :)

yea, but we all know that this thing isnt going to have a twist like the WT does, because the WT curves in the twist. all the twists in the are straight, not curved...i dont see how it would clear the tower on the way down....it just doesnt provide enough clearence.

That sounds believable. The location of the supports that were already on the tower on Saturday suggest either an inverted tophat or twistage on each side, and since there is some twisting track in the parking lot, the twistage seems to be more likely.
It's still interesting to hear all the speculation. Your "good source" wasn't a ride op, was he? ;)

The truth is out there...

No Mr. Magnum, he, she, or it not a ride op. It's amazing that CP has kept this so close to their hat for so long. Certain government agencies should take note and learn.

I've been convinced that the 425 height (plus or minus a couple) is golden. No one should be upset over this one, simple closed loop or not.

Think of the neck strain Mr. Skyward will suffer with looking up at that one!

Florida may have Disneyworld and Key West,
but Ohio has Cedar Point and Put-In-Bay.
It's great to live in Ohio!

I don't think I'm mistaken in saying that the first twist will twist to the left because I consider the turn to be to the left. So it twists to the left.

It launches, pulls up, twists to the left, goes over the top, twists to the right 270 degrees, pulls out, and hits the brakes....that's how I describe the ride.

Launch: Tophat: Twistage: Brakes...

...Denial is an ugly thing.
