Does anyone know exactly when Gold's Dorm is opening up? I know its not until the end of may, but the approximate time eh?

hope you dont mind no AC on hot days...from what I hear Gold is hell in a cell
If I have it straight, I believe you can buy a small window AC and Maintenance will install it but it will be an extra charge to your "rent". Double check on it because I could be very wrong.
A small room AC today will only cost you around $70 bucks and I'd bet it would be well worth it. Go to Meijers or Wal Malt and invest in future comfort.

Oh, i'm not staying there, gold's looks very scary, I stayed in commons last year, and will also this year, my best friend is going to move to Gold's when it opens up. She just didn't know when it opened up, before or after i processed in.
gold looks scary? lol. it's really not. i really liked it. commons looks scary, if you ask me.
i think of gold as summer-camp type housing. commons, to me, felt like your worst-style college dormitory, while at gold i felt like i was getting the summer experience. to each their own, but i don't regret moving to gold last year and plan on doing it again.

I lived in commons last summer and when my parents came up they asked why it looked like a low security prison... hahaha, nice. I loved it though.

I lived in the Commons' apartments the summer of '80. There were only two to a room at the time and were fairly nice. Security was a joke, the drinking age was 18, and dry drugs were virtually ignored. Fun times... Not to be repeated however..
Actually if you use an AC in Cedars or Gold you will be ok. Sure the buildings are in the century old range but who cares? I know what they smell like however. The bathrooms were nasty 26 years ago..
Some things never change..

So what are the rules regarding guests in housing? Are guests allowed at all, or just parents...or??
I wanted to know if you can bring a microwave for Gold dorms and does anyone know if there is cable for the tv.
You can sign in 2 guests at a time (ALthough, generally they don't care if its like 3 and all are family and related)
No microwaves or Cable TV in Gold, as far as I know.
