Gold????

Any one know the dates that gold is open? I know it opens later than and closes b4 commons. i loved gold it was much quieter than commons.

Sometime around the 1st full week of June. I think it was like June 8 last year. Basically whenever commons starts to fill up they start opening other buildings.

No, it's definitely not as bad as everyone makes it out to be. I'm not sure if you read this, it's something I posted earlier about Golds, I'll paste it in:

"Also, to those wanting to live on point...the on point dorms really aren't that bad. I lived in Golds my first year, because I didn't have a car/didn't want to take the bus all the time, and it was more convenient. It was nice only having 1 other roommate (although, I know there are some 3 people rooms). The rooms are a bit smaller than Commons, and you don't get a locker, plus the description of it being "rustic" is relatively accurate...but, I'd live there again. It's nice waking up a little bit before work and just walking."

Also, make sure you have a fan, like you said...it does get hot. Or, if you wanted an air conditioner, you could buy a small one and have it installed by maintenance (for a fee). They also charge you for the electricity for it (at a set rate...I'm not sure what it is, but, it's very small).

It truly is kind of peaceful living on point. It's a lot quieter, and definitely a lot better on the 4th of July, haha. Plus, it's nice waking up on a day off and walking to Soak City, or just walking into the park.

Yeah,I think I like the advantages that come with living on point better.Less hassle than the off point housing sounds like. That and its my first year there, and I'm really not a big party animal.

Chelsea needs a roomie though....

Any one know aprox when gold closes? I would not like moving from commons or bayside to gold then to move back for a week or 2

On point dorms usually close around Labor Day. I suspect if they are "fully staffed" this summer the on point dorms will probably open earlier and close later than usual.

And then one day you find ten years have got behind you
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun

Thanks all

I stayed in Cedars my first year at Point and I thought it was not that bad, I brought my own AC and had it installed, I was close to the park considering I did not have a car. Cedars had the store like Commons and had laundry. to be honest I think I had more room in Cedars then in the 1400s

Witches Wheel has a 54 inch height requirement, I don't care if your child rode Dragster, Magnum or, Millenium, they are not tall enough for this one!
