No, it's definitely not as bad as everyone makes it out to be. I'm not sure if you read this, it's something I posted earlier about Golds, I'll paste it in:
"Also, to those wanting to live on point...the on point dorms really aren't that bad. I lived in Golds my first year, because I didn't have a car/didn't want to take the bus all the time, and it was more convenient. It was nice only having 1 other roommate (although, I know there are some 3 people rooms). The rooms are a bit smaller than Commons, and you don't get a locker, plus the description of it being "rustic" is relatively accurate...but, I'd live there again. It's nice waking up a little bit before work and just walking."
Also, make sure you have a fan, like you said...it does get hot. Or, if you wanted an air conditioner, you could buy a small one and have it installed by maintenance (for a fee). They also charge you for the electricity for it (at a set rate...I'm not sure what it is, but, it's very small).
It truly is kind of peaceful living on point. It's a lot quieter, and definitely a lot better on the 4th of July, haha. Plus, it's nice waking up on a day off and walking to Soak City, or just walking into the park.

Yeah,I think I like the advantages that come with living on point better.Less hassle than the off point housing sounds like. That and its my first year there, and I'm really not a big party animal.
Chelsea needs a roomie though....

I stayed in Cedars my first year at Point and I thought it was not that bad, I brought my own AC and had it installed, I was close to the park considering I did not have a car. Cedars had the store like Commons and had laundry. to be honest I think I had more room in Cedars then in the 1400s

Witches Wheel has a 54 inch height requirement, I don't care if your child rode Dragster, Magnum or, Millenium, they are not tall enough for this one!
