Going to the park on days off

Do Employee's need to purchase tickets to go to Cedar Point on their days off? This is my first year and I was just curious.

Also, I was wondering if I decide to get a townhouse for my fiance and her kids, would I be able to move out of the housing and not get charged for it anymore?

Your ID is as good as a Platinum pass. You can also use it for free parking and admission to other Cedar Fair parks if you wanted.
You can move out of housing any time you want, I got my own apartment the last year I worked there.

Thank you very much Steve. That helps out a lot and puts my living arrangement worries at ease. I figured I wouldn't be forced to live there, I just didn't know if I'd have to pay any fee's to leave.

Kind of a stupid question..if we show the employee ID can we just skip lines? hahah

Though if you move out of housing they won't let you move back in if you decide to try later. Happened to a friend of mine last year, he moved out half-way through the summer and decided to commute but wanted to move back in for Halloweekends but they wouldn't let him.

No your ID is not a Fastpass, and cutting lines is a quick way to get fired, even if your off the clock.

And not only you can get fired but those who allow you to are subject to firing as well so they will not let you.

Also if you move out you will probably not get your housing deposit back until your contract is up.

you get the $100 back at the end?

Yes as long as you leave the place as you found it. Since this is the first year no one really knows how strict they are going to be about the deposit. I hope they won't use it as a crutch to keep employees like they did the bonus. (If you don't finish your contract then you don't get your deposit back!)

I also wonder what they do if you quit or get fired, do you still get it back? And I pretty much guarantee they will add it to your last check instead of giving it in cash. So even though you have to have it right away before you move in, they can wait however many weeks to give it back!

I understand the need of a deposit, and though I may complain a little bit about it I really don't have a problem with it. The one thing I wish they would do is allow it to be taken from your check. Yes damage can be done in the first 3 weeks and then someone can bail before getting enough hours to cover it, but really that doesn't happen that often.

That's cool that we get our deposit back Morte! I don't plan on every wanting to come back though as I said, my fiancé and get kids are moving with me and we plan on getting married pretty soon.

The one thing I thought about and should have done when i worked there was even though i had my own apartment getting a room at Cedars. There were some nights i did not want to take the time to drive home. Cedars is cheap and something to think about even if you do get your own place off point.
