Getting to CP

I feel sorry for you people that have to drive 3+ hours. I'm from Southgate MI (about 20min from Detroit) so I don't really have to make plans to go to CP, I can just put some gas in my car and go.
15mins from Milan, but my friend lives on the Chaussee and walks to CP.

Spid3rman04 I live in Canton, Mi, and have never made it in less than 2 hours. But then, I rarely go faster than 5 miles over the speed limit.

On a good day it usually takes an hour and a half to two. We go the speed limit and usually take route 2. With my dad driving though, it's exactly 2 hours and that's with the turn pike and he's one of the slowest drivers on earth.

I live in Wayne MI, and it usually takes me about an hour and a half to get there.

Didn't want to start a new thread or anything, but is the CP website not working for anybody else? I haven't been able to access it since last night.

It works now, nevermind...

If you go west on Rt.2, as you go up the hill after the bay bridge you're at my house. In point of fact, if you hit a big enough of a rock while next to the exit ramp, you might crash into my living room. Wow! Now, that I think about that, it's kinda scary. The interchange bridge is practically in my front yard.

If I win the lottery, I promise not to quit my job. Although, it may not take very long for me to be fired.

I got you all beat!!! I go twice a year.....and I of course have a 24 hour Drive there from Houston, TX.........I'll see you all there opening day!
i've actually only driven once and i think it was a good 3-4 hours with the detour on US 6 and the McDonald's break. i live just 30-45 minutes north of fort wayne, indiana (US 6 passes right through my town good ol' Butler, Indiana) so i could probably take I-69 to 80/90 but it's not worth the gas.

Approximately 1 hour from Toledo via the Turnpike. Most people take Rt. 2, but the 2 times I've gone that way, I've gotten stuck behind slow moving trafic and took almost 1 1/2 hours to get there. That, and my parents feel safer having me on the Turnpike, too many fatal accidents on Rt. 2 at night.

According to Mapquest, it's 4 hours 18 minutes from my college town of Morgantown, WV, and 4 hours 33 minutes from my hometown of New Martinsville WV. The way I drive I have made it from Morgantown in about 3:30 though.

ONE freeway stamp a day... ONE

Four and a half hours from Saginaw, MI. I take M-52 south to the Ohio border, where it changes to 109, then follow 109 to the turnpike entrance. I take the turnpike east from there to Sandusky. (No Detroit-bound highway traffic or road construction for me! I avoid I-75 S like the plague!)

I'm going to have to experiment with some different routes to take. We took a drive up to Sandusky a few weeks ago, and it only seemed to be only 45 minutes or so. Last year when I went with a bunch of people from my church it seemed to be about an hour or so, maybe a little more. I know when we went a few weeks ago we got on St. Rte. 12 to Fremont, where we got on Rt. 6 and took that straight into Sandusky.

3 hours from Pontiac? I can get there in 2 from Auburn Hills, 1.5 if I'm running late. The usual hangup is the never ending construction on 280/2.

Let your mind go...and your body will follow...

All you Michigandars who make it in 1.5 hours (BTW, I take Route 2 as well), MUST be speeding. 96, I grew up in Wayne and graduated from WMHS.

Even going a little above the speed limit down 275/75, it takes a little under an hour for me to get to Toledo 280, and about an hour from there.
