i have been on maverick in the front row about 159 times and this is the first ive heard about getting wet. especially cause the fountains that shoot up the water are delayed til right after the train passes.
When the hose-like spray over the 'heartline roll' was on, it would spray the train ever so slightly if the wind was right.
We were there on the day it opened last year. My first ride was in the front seat with my son. We got hammered by the water and it was very painful. So the next time we covered our faces in the front. Not the best little feature for that ride in my opinion.
I have been on Maverick 30 times and only got wet once. That was in late may last year my first ride ever. We sat in the middle car front seat and had a sprinkle on my face that was it. I rode it one more time that day and did not feel anything. since then i have not gotten wet again. So im thinking it was a bug in the timing. Or maybe it was the wind
