Getting Pictures of #16

I'm going up to CP this Sat. and was wondering how easy it was to get pics of #16. I don't think i'll have a problem in the park, but outside it. Can you get close enough to get track pics or anything in the parking lots or are they blocked off well. I havent been to CP since the begining of Aug. so its been awhile. Thanks
it seems as though all of the track is located in the parking lot near the Magnum exit of the park. Go out there and take all the pics you want, just don't cross any temporary fences or anything of that sort. If anyone asks what your doing.. say youre looking at your new car and tell them it goes from 0 to 120 mph in under 5 seconds!

The temp fence changes. You can get pretty close to some though. Lets just say you dont need a great zoom to get good pictures of this stuff. Sometimes its almost hands on ;)
If your fast enough you can actually get in there and snap a few before authorities come, all they can do is tell you to get back on the right side and give you a warning, so you are going tohave to plan which things you want pics of before you cross the fence. Dont worry about getting caught, they wont do anything, i speak through experience.

If you spreak from experience in this case, then you are a dumbass. The fences are there for a reason!

Do you really think that they won't do anything??? If enough people cross the line, they most certainly will. I'm sure that entering a restricted area on amusement park property somehow violates some law. I'm pretty sure that there are some OSHA regulations that might come into play as well, especially if someone got hurt. What part of breaking and entering isn't understood here? My guess the Rider Responsibility law.

People, the fences are there for a reason. If they wanted us to use the track sections as a jungle gym, they wouldn't have the fence there. Would you like it if some kid decided he wanted pics of your bedroom closet just to gain two minutes of popularity on some website, so he broke in without you knowing?? Don't be a moron and try going in. Stunts like this give the entire enthusiast community, card-carrying or not, a bad rep and most certainly don't win favors with the park.

Not to mention park officials regularly read this site. I'm sure this information has already been passed down.

There's already plenty of pictures of the track, and construction, all over the internet. Don't be a moron and get yourself ejected from the park for a picture you could have easily seen from the comfort of your own home.

Yea I don't think i'm gonna be jumping any fences on Saturday. I was just wondering how easy it is to get some pictures. From what everyone has said, seems to me that you can. Thanks everyone

Well, it's official... Tomaso is the official dumbass GTTP whipping boy! Anyone want to take bets on how long he'll last?

Yeah, not real smart jumping fences. I have heard they are electric fences.
Yeah either electric fences or ones that blow over in the wind very easy!
Well i think it is not completely justified calling me "the official dumbass GTTP whipping buy!" I am just an aivid Cedar Point fan who's interest for this new ride is among the highest. Dont get me wrong, what i was saying probably wasnt the smartest thing, but i was not by any means running around like i was playing on a jungle gym. In my mind i was there to take quality pics for my brother. Not by any means was i trying to get two minutes of fame or trying to ruin the reputation of any other roller coaster enthusiast. Sorry if i have offended anyone.
I hope next time they throw your ass out. That's stupid, and so are you for thinking it was justified.

But I hear as soon as you cross the fence you magically know what the ride is going to be.

Sure it is. When you do and say stupid things like that it ruins it for everyone. When you make suggestions about breaking the law or causing safety issues it also shows a distinct lack of common sense.

I'm in the pool I give him 2 weeks.
 :-)

At first I thought he was joking, then I realized he is serious. If a few idiots do things like that it will ruin it next time for people who respect the rules. Rules are there for your safety. Didn't I see Tomaso on an episode of Dumba**?-----------------

and before you die you see the ride....

not to be confused with Tservo...

i think cedar point should find Tomaso and not let him in the park for the 2003 season for saying something so stuiped
I say big deal. If he wants to go past the fences let him. Why do you all care so much? Do you own the park or something? You all whine too much about such stupid things. What did he ruin by saying that? Is the new ride not going to be built now? You guys are way too anal about things.

If the 'rules' are so important than does everyone on here abide by the hands in the car at all times rule? If you put your hands up on roller coasters than you are all in the same rule breaking group as Tomaso and should all be ridiculed in the same manner. "Rules are there for a reason.", that reminds me of my high school.

Putting your hands up is against the rules don't do it. Who's the contradicting dumbasses now?
