Getting into CP for free

I know after you process in and get your employee badge you get free admission into CP for the whole year but I was wondering if I came one day in May and I don't process in till June do I have to pay to get into CP? I process in June 2 and I want to go one day in May to ride TTD. Please any help would be greatly appreciated.
Sorry, you cannot get into the park free until after you have processed in

:( So you're just going to have to pay your way if you go in May. Because even though you are contracted as an employee, there is no way for them to know for certain that you will show up in June, (not saying that you are not going to!) so they cannot consider you an employee until you actually process in.

11 days to go!

you ask to process in early and do weekends, then you be able to ride.
I can't work weekends because I live 8 hours away. So is there anyway to process in without working for a few weeks or at least get a discount admission for one day? Its no big deal if I have to pay full price I just wondering these things.
Well, if you have a friend who is already working at the Point ahead of you, you could give them some money and have them purchase a discounted ticket for you at HR. Or...you could bring a Pepsi can with a coupon on it with you, and get the same discount on a Funday admission that a guest can get. Some Meijer stores, AAAs, and other locations also sell discount tickets -- keep your eyes and ears open, and ask around.

Your ID/Name Tag or "employee pass" gets you in 7 days a week all season long. So if your friend is coming on May 3rd for Longaberger Day then you can get in. You don't ever need a ticket to get in. But if you want to hang out with your friend that day then you need to ask soon for that day off, but it might be hard since its the first day of the season for guests to be in the park.

Actually as an employee your actually not supposed to be using the park on the 3rd because of the agreement made between longenburger and cp... im not sure how they keep track of it but i heard last year that you could get in trouble if you did... one more thing, as cp is short of people for that weekend generally, you probably wont get that day off anyway, even if you did request it...sorry thats the ropes on being short staffed, and it will happen again at the end of august.

If CP policies are anything like KBF's, you can use your ID card to get into ALL CF parks and waterparks for free.
The reason that CP doesn't allow employees to get in early is that people WILL take advantage of that and not report for work. When it comes to the public, anyting you you give the possibility to be taken adavantage of will be.
I've never heard anything about valid employees getting in trouble for enjoying the park on Longaburger Day. There's really no way anyone can keep track of who is entering to ride, or who is entering to eat at the Caf or walk to Gold Dorms or Wardrobe... Sounds like another Cedar Point employee legend to me.

As well, there really isn't any way to control valid employees coming into the park and riding during the Joe Cool/Resort Guest ERT in the mornings (unless the ride hosts at entrances are asking to see some form of identification -- Joe Cool passes or hotel passes -- this I am unsure of). It wouldn't be a good idea to come in and ride if you were supposed to be working in the early morning -- getting points for being late is not cool, but on a day off, why not?

Unless they change the policy this year, there is no control over morning ERT after you get into the park. There won't be very many employees in line anyways so it doesn't really matter much.

As for Longaburger Day, I think they just figure that not enough employees have the day off to worrie about it.

SteelMonsters is right about not controling who gets the morning ERT. Ride employees don't check at the ride entrance for Joe Cool or hotel guests, just at the gate entrances is where they check. As for employees riding in the morning, we always had at least 5 or 6 employees waiting to ride in the morning before Joe Cool got there. Sometimes they would be at the ride before we got there in the morning.
