General Hired Employee

Just curious. I don't think Cedar Point would descriminate, I'm just thinking my friend is full of *poop. Does Cedar Point only hire people who are going to College? Thanks...

Alot of people who work at Cedar Point are not in college.

No, they'll hire anybody. Well, not just anybody, but age is not a big deal.

Actually, I'd think they'd rather have more employees NOT in college because their contracts could last a lot longer.

I beleive the oldest seasonal employee last summer I heard of was in his 70's or 80's.

Remember, you may see a lot of college aged people and people in college, but that is probably because they receive a majority off applications that way. CP still has to follw the same EOE laws as every other company.

Not to sound stupid, but I never went to college. And this will be my third year. and it is alot of fun. It really doesn't matter if you go to college or not. Even some of the college kids seem dumber than the noncollege employees!!!

My first job was working at Cedar Point in rides operations. My contract dates were all but halloweekend fridays. I requested MF and thats where I worked. The first couple weeks in May and August till the end are critical contract dates. The more critical dates you can work, the better your chances.
