Gemini Seatbelts

I noticed that they replaced the Gemini seatbelts this year, I was barely able to fit on it this year, but I managed. I had to squeeze into the belt a little bit.

Makes me glad I lost 25 1/2 pounds this year otherwise I probably wouldn't fit.

They replace them every couple years, but they weren't any shorter than I remember them being in the past.

yeah, a guy got in, saw he couldn't fit in the new belts, yelled" so, you changed the 'gat-danged' belts on me, huh?", kicked the exit door, and then said he was off to get a refund.

^^They were definatly shorter this year than last. Last year I had some slack and wasn't even trying to lose weight then. I'm just happy I could fit, it's one of my favorite roller coasters.

The belts were replaced, but we were told by the ride host that some of them were ordered too short. We noticed that some were plenty large, and some could barely fit.

We were told that new belts are on order and will be replacing the ones that were too short.

Thanks Josh, that's good to know. Even though I can fit, but for larger people that's good news.

I noticed on the 5 times I rode, 3 were comfortable, 1 was tight that I was barely able to fit around me and my girlfriend, and 1 was just near impossible to get..

The Blue Streak was worse..

I miss the old days without seatbelts, just a bar to hold onto...

If we are going to talk about the "good old days" of Blue Streak lets also get rid of the seat dividers and headrests....

And bring back the old style brakes too. None of this high tech stuff. Just get a couple of burly guys to operate the brakes. :)

I was referring to all the rides in general,
not just the Blue Streak.. But I miss the old days.

Yeah, there are some definite small belts. I got more slack on Millennium Force than I did on Gemini by myself.

Can anyone conform when the new, longer belts come in?

I rode with my son yesterday for the first time this year. The seat belt length in our train didn't seem any different from what it was last year.

Yep. they fit fine!

Comparing the blue front seat train and the red front seat train, the blue one was tighter than the red one for me, I really had to jam my stomach in the belt, but they both fit, just the blue one was a bit tight.

It is not an issue on all cars. There are some where the belts are similar to the past. But others where they seem much tighter. There are numerous people who have experienced this.

Yeah, what he said. Adam and I were in the back seat of the blue side and could barely get it fastened. Neither one of us are on the "guests of exceptional size" list.

I picked up the one side and had the belt all the way out, he picked up the other with it also undone and we went to fasten it. It was rather humorous when we both looked at each other like, "why don't you pull some belt out"
since we were about 4" short of fastening. We managed to squeeze our way to getting it buckled but I sure wouldn't want to be any larger than he and I and try to get it together.

Yeah, I think they had a blind man making new belts for this season.
