Gemini 100 Update

I just updated the Gemini 100 page, please go check it out.

I can't say this enough, please really think this out. After what I did on Monday I have a good feeling that people are going to be dropping like flies and less than 10 people will actually make it to 100. It is going to be a TON of stress on your body, and if you invited a friend or relative please explain this to them. I am writing this almost four days after my magnum marathon and my legs are still sore! There is no shame in dropping me a line saying that you or somone you signed up won't be able to do it. We only want people who are going to take this seriosly and think that they can handle it.

If a problem does come up and you don't think that you can make it please let me know ASAP!

Also we are NOT getting shirts done, we are getting buttons done and they will be $1.00 each and you can pay for them when you sign in!

To tell you the truth I am not sure if I will make it, but I will try my best. Listen to Dan folks. I remember last year after 34 flights on Raptor I was basically dead. (yes that is my record for one day) It takes alot out of you.

Boy, the more I think about it, the more I may have to pass this time. I'm pretty sure I'd be able to do it, I just don't know about making it back to Cincinnati to work the next day. I have the day off, so I am definitely going to be at the Point that day, it may be in my best interest to pass. Dan, since you marathoned Magnum earlier this week, what do you think? With a 4 1/2 hour drive home, then I have to be at work at 8:30 in the am, might be better to pass. I'll be up there, so I will definitely help count. I'm still going to think about it, so I'll let you know, Dan.

As long as I can get the day off, I'm going to try it! :) I don't think there is any way I'd do it if I had a long drive back home or anything, but I figure I can just finish and then crash for the night! :)

I wish I could be there to help out! I'd love to, and I know I could make it. The buttons are a great idea, Dan, because if so many people do drop how will you know which names are right? How about a certificate that those that make it to 100 can get afterwards? That would be a fun acknowledgement of going the distance. Best of luck to everyone!

The people that make it are going to get gum. I don't know what more of an acknowledgement you'd need than a big ol' hunky piece of gum. Grape too, probably. And about counters, we aren't doing that anymore. We're going by the honor system because we really feel that if you're doing this, you should take it seriously and not cheat yourself and everyone else. I'm taking the next day off of work just incase the whole "rumor" about this being tough turns out to be true. :)

I could call in sick the next day, I mean I figure it technically would not be lying. We'll see. Like I said, I'll definitely be there. Guess I'll decide that day how I feel. I really want to do this, though.

When is Gemini 100?

Well, Jo. I'm like you. I said I'll do it, I'm going to try. Just may not make it with that drive. We still going to do the caravan thing (even though it may just be you and me)? I know it's a ways off. I'll be going up from Columbus, but heading back down 75 thru Dayton.

Hey Dan i'm going to officialy have to say I can't participate in the Gemini 100. Who would have thought when I signed up for this that I would have a girlfriend but it came up and I have to spend time with her. I wish all of you luck !Sorry!

Just wondering, are we still going to try to meet up at McDonalds before we head into the park?

STEUKS!!

My husband has said that he doesn't mind going 2 weeks early on our vacation and detouring 400 miles to come (from FL to PKD, PCW, PKI, and CP)! I won't "officially" sign up yet, but here's hoping! :)

A question: are you having just as many buttons printed as there are signed up participants, or will there be some extras, just in case?

Me, miss something this CRAZY?

NO WAY! I've already started joging every day for this.

I'll still be eating at Mc Donalds for breakfast at 9:00 am. I suspect that will be posted in the meetings/gatherings section in a few weeks.

I am going to make it, Oh Yea! I'm getting pumped about this. I walk at least 3 miles every day when I walk to and from school (I'm about a mile and 1/2 from my H.S.). I'll bring a "clicker" to mark off my laps.

For breakfast, we're considering Friday's at the Breakers because a.) it's buffet, won't have to wait for McDonnalds to serve all of us, and b.) it's yummy. Oh, and it's right by the magnum entrance. I think Dan said it was something like $9 for the buffet. If this is a problem for anyone, let us know. Start thinking of annoying songs to sing while we all ride.
