What an awesome day. Showed up at Gemini at opening to find that mostly everyone was already there. Met LuvRaptor right away. Hard to miss her with those kewl CP socks.
I sent my Dad out to get a few "supplies" to make the day go by a little faster. It didn't go buy any faster. He didn't come back until ride # 30. And he bought me a sea food sub, Which I was glad I was able to eat when the ride broke down. I felt pretty stupid though. I didn't have time to eat it when he brought it to me so I put it in my waist pack for two rides. I was even more embarrassed when one of my riding partners clamed to have smelled fish.
After I finally ate my sub It was back to the to the mission. At this point I was actually one ride ahead of everyone else. This was kind of ironic because I ended up five/ten rides behind everyone else.
Anyway, I somehow managed to help some fellow GTTPers cool off during the hottest part of the day. (CP Irvine, Red Garter Rob, Dan, Vortex, and Hooper just to name a few.) My Dad picked me up a squirt gun earlier in the day. After a while Red Garter Rob threatened me with his water bottle. The contents of the water bottle must have surprised me (it was actually filled with water:)) because I stopped with the squirt gun.
That was about the time I started slacking off. The sea food sub must have started catching up with me, because I started getting sick. I sat and talked with Jeffery Spartan for a few minutes and had a cup of water. Then it was time to realize I was starting to get behind.
My Dad did some calculating rides and times and such. He found that I needed ten rides per hour, with the exception of two hours in which I needed eleven.
This proved to be impossible. I somehow managed eleven rides in about one hour. It wasn't to long until Dan made 99 and disappeared for a while. Slowly everyone made it to 99. I was still about six behind them with only a half hour left.
Soon, I was two rides away from 100 with only five minutes on the clock. I was looking at my tally sheet in dismay when, I realized that I had failed to tally one of my marks which my Dad had marked for me when I was having trouble with my squirt gun. (I thought he only marked five when in fact it was six.) I promptly ran down and told the other GTTPers who had been so nice as to wait for me for almost a half hour. They seemed glad that we finally were going to ride # 100. With much celebration and picture taking in the station we were off on our 60 mph journey. I have never seen such a group. That last ride was the best. Some nut was spraying crazy string... Oh, wait.
At the end of are 100 rides the eleven (?) that made it congregated at the Resort Gate. I printed out a certificate for everyone who made it to the big 100. I felt Kind of sad that I didn't have something more to give them for the hours of riding with me, putting up with my squirt gun, and finally waiting for me on that finale ride.
Despite how tuff that day went, during that last ride on Gemini I didn't want that day to end.

Kudos to you for sticking to it. I thought the water gun was pretty funny, heck anything would have been funny to me by the time night rolled around. I wanted to disappear too after my 99th ride, but I knew Raptor was too far away for that. Thanks for the certificates too.
At least I don't have more rides on Gemini this year then Raptor...Oh wait I do.

I rode Magnum 5 times and MF once with Robin Innes.
Gemini 100
It's Dan K's fault.
Thanks Hooper.
That stunt with the bear still makes me chuckle everytime I think about it.
