In true tradition, it's hard to even talk about Gay Day...fact is, it's going to happen...we're on the way...nothing you can do about it!
Now, if Cedar Point or even Cedar Fair could acknowledge the fact that other parks, world wide have made Gay Day a part of their annual calendar!
I'm looking forward to coming back this year, one to celebrate the Gay Community, and two to enjoy the park I love so much.
Gay Day 2005!!! :O)

You make it sound like some sort of alien invasion...
Cedar Point doesn't have to acknowledge it if they don't want to. Cedar Point's main target is the average family, which, as far as I am concerned, would rather not attend the park on a day set aside for "gay" individuals.
When is "Straight Day"?
Straight day...hmmm...i guess that would be any day between opening day and closing day. Gay Day, as hard as it is to believe...is just another ordinary day, just like any other. Not sure what you think Gay Day is...but since you obviously think it's somehow offensive to family's... in this day and age, that's pretty sad. What exactly do you consdier the "Average Family".
Disney...some of the world's largest amuzement parks freely and openly acknowledges "Gay Day".
Guess we won't see you on Sunday :O)
Actually, Disney doesn't have anything to do with "Gay Days" at WDW. They're hospitible to the groups that come, but they don't sponsor it. Cedar Point is the same- they don't sponsor it, but they are friendly to their guests, just as they are for everyone.
I don't find "Gay Day" offensive, but I do find your "we're coming and there's nothing you can do about it" attitude offensive. I consider your post trolling, just looking for a fight.
Please, grow up.
Thanks...I appreciate your response...however I wasn't trolling for a fight...just upset that my first post, was posted for about an hour, before it dissapeared...Mysteriously vanished. So then, I must admit I was a little upset.
"Please, grow up" ...not necessary, but thanks for your opinion.
I took his message more as all people should be able to enjoy the park on all days, rather than having specific days put aside for certain people. I don't have a problem with it either way, I think anyone who wants to go should go and have fun, but why have a special day for certain groups? If there was a "Caucasian Day" or "Heterosexual Day" I think certain people would feel offended and excluded. Same idea for this. This is just an idea of where people who aren't gay may be coming from.
There's a reason for that. You joined today, you've made four posts. The other one is a thread bashing the dive show but hailing the speedos.
This thread was started with a post that conveys an attitude of superriority. That combined with the fact that you just joined today and created another troll-like thread leads me to the conclusion that you are just trolling.
Had you been an already established member and were simply saying "Who's looking forward to going to the park for the celebration on sunday?" I would probably think differently.
And "please, grow up" is necessary. You're being immature by flaunting yourself with the whole four posts you've made (and however many else have already been nuked).
My first post (that was nuked in your words) was very poliete, short, sweet and the point was basically..."who's going on gay day, looking forward to seeing you there". No reason to be nuked, other than the subject of gay day.
My responses have been poliete, and far from immature. You have felt the need to respond to each however in a negative fashion.
I have been a long time viewer of point buzz, never felt the need to write or respond to a thread...until now. So yes I'm a new member today, for the purpose of talking about gay day. This will be the last time, because of people like you! Thanks, and don't hesitate to view your opion on Everything, like you normally do.
I will be there Sunday and it is Ironic that this will actually be the first trip of the year with the season pass. I think its cool to have an (unofficial Gay Day) and I will have fun with my friends but this post seems like I am supposed to be there skipping while holding a pinwheel in each down the midway so everyone can see me. I will have fun and please everyone this person who started this post is just feeding into the sterotypical gay male scenario. 95% of us are not like that but its always the 5% that show up on tv or in the paper that categorize us all. Just like trailer park victims who thery interview after a tornado....they never interview a doctor in the south who just lost his house, it is always a woman with 8 cats and curlers in her hair with a big moo -moo on. Who ever is going have fun and please dont be put off by this crapp.
Gay Day?

First trip June 23rd
If their were no gays then cedar point would have a shortage of male ride operators and servers! hehe
I find it ironic that people always demand equality, but then establish an unofficial day set aside for a specific group of people. Doesn't that just draw more attention to the fact that they are a "different" group? It's all a big show if you ask me.
Cedar Point rocks my socks.
That's exactly what this thread seems to me. "Look at me! I'm gay! Whee! Everyone stare at me because I'm not a member of the opressive majority! I want your attention!"
I don't run around holding up a plaid flag yelling "Everyone, look at me! I'm straight!" nor do any of my gay friends run around with rainbow flags screaming for attention.
Attention whoring is attention whoring regardless of your sexual orientation.
zx5 gets it. It's not about being gay or being straight or being bi or whatever. People wonder why there are stereotypes. One of the reasons is that folks who just want attention get it by fitting into the stereotype everyone expects to see.
I'm done feeding this troll. It's time to move on.
Millennium Man, adding to your statement...
Then they ask the amusement companies to "offical" make gay-days....pfft...
