Cpfourlife, I would really like to see themeing as well, and I would like to know what kind of themeing, if any, they add. When I asked about that I was told they did not know yet
^ Very true. Try working Twister for a season. Those Halloweekend nights get pretty chilly over there on that platform. Not to mention the amount of wind produced from the train on each swing.
I'm pretty excited to see the queue layout of Gatekeeper. But I do wonder if they're going to build that concrete wall a little higher and obstruct the view of the lake with walls like Raptor has in it's line. I'm not too sure if it's been talked about already on here.
Yeah, Twister was my Halloweekends ride, and I'll be the first to say that smurf suit was not enough some nights.

Totally agree on Wicked Twister. As I remember on opening day how cold it was and the wind was out of the east also.
Instead of concrete or a wall how about a plexiglass wall to not obstruct the view.
Notice how the light poles from DT's sign are still in place? Clearly this indicates a space theme.
Girl: "l want to ride that yellow one again... Twisted Wicker"
Me: "It's a roller coaster, not a broken clothes hamper."
I think the six poles by the staircase will be either used for the start of gatekeeper's que or some kind of plaza when the ride opens, thoughts?

I think it would be nice if they added some themeing. Also, does anyone think GK will get a music booth like MF?
Just like several other coasters at CP, GK is the theme. I'm sure there will be some accented fencing and statues, but the coaster will speak for itself.
I doubt there will be a DJ booth, those have become obsolete. It was nice to make song requests, but the automated music is cheaper than paying somone to stand there and play it.
Speaking of the queue, maybe a mural of some sort consisting of old pictures of past attractions that once occupied that area of the park. Captions could be included to tell the story of Cyclone, Space Spiral, Jumbo Jet, Wildcat, and Avalanche Run/Disaster Transport. Place a DT car on display in the center of the queue.
That seems like something that is more deserving of the museum. A plaque.....maybe, but not a DT car. It would just look tacky. Much like what DT did for that area.

I could see posters of all the roller coasters that stood there but definitely not a DT car.
Enjoy the rest of your day at America's Rockin' Roller Coast! Ride On!
A DT car is no more tacky than that big ugly screen that stood in front of the Funway Train Station for 17 seasons. Why build a museum, when the existing Town Hall doesn't receive enough high traffic. The whole idea is to keep the waiting guests occupied other than music on the busy days.
How interesting is a car from a previous ride in line? You look at it for a minute, then what for 2 more hours?
