seriously try using something resembling proper grammar not only will your posts be easier to understand but people might actually give you helpful answers too everyone wins

Proper grammar on the internets? That's unpossible.

The thing is, people type in a hurry on their iphones and whatever else they use, and don't have time to go back and fix all their typos and such. Everyone's lives are just soooo busy, that they can't spare 5 seconds to type properly. Just saying.

That's the lamest cop-out in the history of the Internet. If a person can't interact with others like a literate human being, they shouldn't post here. No one else finds it that hard. Periods and capital letters aren't a time consuming activity, and frankly any kid who chooses to write like that doesn't know what busy is. Get off my lawn!

^ Not to mention, don't iPhones (or any modern smartphone for that matter) automatically punctuate the beginning of every sentence for you? Almost every phone that has internet capability, has a QWERTY keyboard. If you know your phone well enough to use the data services, you know your keyboard well enough to know that it's NOT time consuming to hit the "123" button or the "alt" button to retrieve punctuation. You look foolish and uneducated if you choose to post on public forums like you're on AIM, Facebook, Twitter, or simply texting your friend from school, to the point where nobody will want to take your posts seriously. And even when, for example, a girl posts like that on Facebook and Twitter, or even texts me with poor grammar, it still bothers the hell out of me and I find it very unattractive. Please don't expect to have a valid argument on here while your lack of self-pride is visible through your lack of grammatical errors. End rant...

At least she didn't type in all caps, so it could've been worse. ;D

Nah, not using periods isn't something people do, even on AIM. I think this is something people who aren't used to using the internet do. My parents, for example, used to type in ALL CAPS without realizing that it implied they were shouting. Now that they know, they don't do it anymore.

I don't think they're trying to be mean, becca, it's just a matter of informing you that that type of post (without punctuation marks) is not very well liked anywhere on the internet.

IIRC, this user has been talked to about it in another thread.

Whether someone is used to using the internet or not, I think even a third grader could proofread those posts and tell us that there is a lack of grammar that doesn't allow the post to make sense. Typing with proper grammar is the same as hand writing with proper grammar.
