What are you trying to say WaterDummy? That employees are not allowed to drive? I am not sure if you make sense? This is just to clear out some things about your post, not to call you out. I just want you to make some sense about cutting down employee traffic. Who cares how many employees drive to work and drive back to the dorms. They have as much right to drive to work. There are some blackout dates the employees are not allowed to drive to work so THEY can make room for the guests to park.

Actually, they could eliminate all of the parking on the peninusla and bring back the boats that were used to transport everyone to Boblo (now defunct park in Detroit/Windson). The Columbia and St Clair could be rebuilt far cheaper than the costs stated here for construction, you would have TON's of expansion space!
Crazy Horse, Have you been to Universal Studios Florida? The have one of the world's largest parking structures. I've never had much trouble getting out of there. One thing they have going for them is CityWalk though. With all the shops and clubs etc, people aren't in a rush to make a b-line for the car and to get off of the property. If the park built a parking structure, something like that may be necessary.

if they do decide to put parking off the pennisula, they can get trams from intamin anyways! *** Edited 6/18/2006 10:24:02 PM UTC by grizzeg***
Personally, I dont buy the theory that Cedar Point has plenty of space. They ran out of space a long time ago, thats why they constantly move or relocate rides when they put anything big in. What was the last coaster they built without having to move or remove something? In my opinion, as soon as a park starts having to remove stuff to put anything new in, they are pretty much out of space.
ValleyFair uses their parking lot for building also. CedarPoint will probly use their parking lot in the future.

Coasterfan82 I am an employee, the point I was trying to get across to Fastball was that I don't want to see less employee parking, or employee parking further back. Please re-read my posts, and if I haven't clarified something well enough please let me know.
Again, alot of people had the idea to get rid of the Cedars/Gold and yeah those are really bad, but they need replaced by something again on the point instead of even more off-point housing, increasing the amount of employees having to ride the bus or drive into work.
Others have had the idea to eliminate the employee parking area or move it further back, once again inconvienencing the employees and making our life harder to get to work. Just not very good ideas if you ask me.

Yeah, cedar point does that to the real workers at the point. The real workers are the seasonals who spend thier summer away from family and friends. If it was not for the seasonals there would be NO cedar point/fair.
Water Dummy my bad, did not know you worked at the point. If I was you I would be careful of posting here, there are leaches who watch these forums about cedar fair. I think you know that, but I would not want you to get fired for saying the wrong thing.

Oh I'm well aware, I believe I'm well within the posting guidelines as an employee. Or at least I hope. :-)
