Funny stuff about Dragster

It could handle lightning, granted, but I think the bigger issue is guests getting hit with rain at 120 MPH. I also think when Janice said that she could have possibly been referring to the electronics and such...not the guests on it. Who knows though *shrug*

The rumors that I heard were TTD was shut down because some girl died on it and that a guy fell out of the seat
I heard that a girl choked on gum, but it was really my friends misunderstanding because it was some Six Flags Park ride, and then they talked about TOp THrill Dragster right after that

A girl choked on her gum as she got off Raging Bull at SFGA (I think). That's probably how these rumors started. How could you be stipid enough to chew gum on a roller coaster? Now lets not make this a "SFMM sucks" topic but did you know that July 4th after the fire works at SFMM a fire was started by the fireworks. It burned near X's raven turn and Viper's lift. Sopposedly burned 25 acres away from the park. I don't know if this is true because I found it on the Internet.

The best one that I have been told was one of the test dummies flew out of the seat went OVER, MForce (even tho it would have to travel over all that land first )and landed in the bay, I fell on the ground when I heard that one.

The way I put it Six Flags needs more parks to keep up with the one and only Cedar Point :)
HOT OFF THE...well AIM:

They put it up a year earlier than recommended by the builders and they just shoot the cars off with a lot of compressed air and i guess they shot one off and it didn't make it all the way over the hump and the second one shot off and they collided during the time when they test them in the morning, so they had to shut it down.

i refuse to go on it this year, though. I mean, I love rollercoasters and i want to go on it, but not when it's brand new. It's not broken in yet and obviously not 100% safe.

I couldn't argue with this one, the girl thinks she's a genius and that I'm really really stupid (which it true in school, but obviously not in real life!)

Oh well, one less rider in front of me when I finally get to go on!

Got into it with a friend of mine because he was like "TTD doesnt do anything but go straight up and straight down, its so stupid, if you wanna do that just go on Power Tower"

*smack*

but seriously, Cedar Point Lady, where'd this fork come from? was it sitting in the seat? or what?

I was in line in front of some guy who was explaining to his kids how magnets are used to launch TTD. His reasoning was that only magnets could make the ride go that fast. He was so confident in his explanation, even though he had none of the facts right. Just goes to show that you can’t believe everything your parents tell you!

Obviously those magnets are used to hold the train on the track...

That is partially right.. Before it reopened in June sometime after father's day a test dummy broke and threw it's water right before the 270 degree twist. However 10 feet from the tower is hardly over Millenium

I think that the water torsoes might be designed to eliminate some water, I always see some water come off of it when it is on top of the ride. Not really a big deal though, but it really doesn't compare to someone saying the whole dummie being thrown into the bay.

Life has it's ups and downs, might as well make it on a coaster!

While I was sitting in the grandstand Monday afternoon, I heard a man tell his son :

"Those plates sticking up on the track are part of the electromagnetic drive system."

From someone who also complained about TTD being down:

"The world's tallest and fastest coaster is down. What a top thrill drag."

A paddlewheel captain:

"On your right, you'll see Top Thrill Dragster. When it's running, it's the tallest, fastest coaster in the world. Right now, it's the world's most expensive coat rack."

That was almost, but not quite, as good as "...now, it's just blue."

It's not war, famine, or pestilence; it's only downtime.

On 7/8 Will_1205 and I were standing and watching Dragster when a kid about 13 came and stood near us along with his parents. He told his parents that the reason for all of the breakdowns is that the cable keeps on breaking. If i remember right, they were taking out what appeared to be the hydraulic pumps out of the pump house as he was saying this. Yet he stuck to his story.
