Frontier Town

I agree with DBCP. It's not going to disappear right away but will slowly fade away after a while. I actually wouldn't mind if Frontier Town was gone. I just hope that the quiet, peaceful atmoshpere back there remains the same. What would really disappoint me is if something happened to the Frotier Trail. It contains a large percentage of the trees in the park now that a lot of trees have been torn down.

Another thing you have to consider is circulation in the park. There are places in the park where you have a ride on top of a ride on top of another ride which makes for a very busy atmosphere. They are trying to promote circulation buy putting rides in the quiet places in the park. That is why Wicked Twister and maXair are where they are. Whether or not they want to see Frontier Town change, they almost have to put new attractions back there to (1) promote circulation and (2) use the space that they have left as efficiently as possible.

I just don't understand. A new ride in Frontier Town all of a sudden makes for is going away?? If anything they're trying to restore life to the area. How long has it been since a new ride was put in back there??

Geez...

Don't worry dude, you'll still have that quiet atmosphere. What Skyhawk does is increase the people to want to come back to Frontiertown. This also helps create less line waits for rides Like Magnum, Millennium Force and Top Thrill Dragster. All three of these rollercoasters had fair line waits this year. I won't complain. The longest I waited this year for Millennium Force was 2 hours. And that was in July.

I think those numbers will increase with the lower ticket prices coming in 2006. Yes you'll have more people in that area of the park, but it won't ruin the quiet atmosphere. It won't be too quiet though because you still have Mean Streak even with the removal of White Water Landing. I also think Cedar Point will keep the trees with whatever they're building back in the back where White Water Landing once stood. I hope they take the Holiday World Approach and knock down a few trees.

I have strong predictions that 2006 will be a breakout year for Cedar Point as far as Attendance goes. I think it will go up!

Really, something goes out, something new goes in, and most of you start getting all worried and uptight about that area. Have any of you even taken a close look at the Skyhawk logo? That is very much in the antique Americana style. If you didn't notice, the "CP" on the logo is almost exactly identical to the few Frontier Town trash cans that can still be found back there. The colors enhance the old Americana style, and the eagle that is included in the logo all make for something that fits in FT. Town Hall is mainly white, the pillars are fake white marble, the 'Tiques' structure is mostly white. Skyhawk will fit in just fine. *** Edited 11/11/2005 8:45:08 PM UTC by BlueStreak64***

Three things you need to fix anything in the universe: duct tape, WD-40, and a hammer. Duct tape if it moves and it shouldn't, WD-40 if it doesn't move and should, and the hammer as the last resort.

Thanks for the responses.

No, I hadn't noticed the Skyhawk logo being just about the same as the logos on trash cans.

I agree that Frontier Town needs some sprucing up, but I don't want the relaxing atmosphere to go away.
