I kind of see it, now after it was mentioned here, but it's sort of better than the twin towers, because the real ones fell after getting hit, these gate entrance towers remain standing after the train (symbolically speaking), goes through them. :)
All jokes aside, I wouldn't mind if we dispensed with the macabre comparisons to the single worst evil act perpetrated on American soil. The new gate structures have nothing to do with the Twin Towers, they assuredly weren't intended to emulate them, and I don't want that image planted in my brain every time I go into the park for the rest of my life.

I can't believe this thread even exists. Let's all go back to the corkscrew thread now. Move along.
Promoter of fog.
What is next?? Complaining that TTD reminds us of Dale Earndheart wrecking into a wall or any of halloweekends reminding us of a murder... hell we can say the mine ride reminds us of some tragic mine accident... ? I have nothing but sympathy for the tragedy of 911 but point is this is a coaster with a cool element, nothing more. You can take any ride and vaguely connect it with a tragedy. This thread is pointless.
Now thanks to this thread, every time I look at the new entrance, I think of the Twin Towers.

^Fixed ;)
Yes, the coaster does go through both keyholes during the Zero-G Roll.
Anyone else notice how Space Spiral fell, on SEPTEMBER 12?
Seems this ride, and everything involved with it, references 9/11 in some way or another.
Not everything that has two structures standing together is a reference to 9/11. It's not like the ride is themed to an explosion or collision. It's quite simply a cool roller coaster element that the designers decided to make two of to double the thrill. And they put it over the front gate to have a very cool entrance to the best park on the planet. Nothing to do with 9/11
The planning dept did not plan to theme the ride to anything related to 9/11. The towers can still look like twin towers, but this does not mean CP planned this purposely. OK, the towers are silver and the train flies through them, but it's just a coincidence.
