From Sandusky station to CP

Before I process in I'll spend a few days in NYC. I travel by Amtrak train from New York to Sandusky.

I was wondering if the train station is close to Cedar Point... If not, what's the best way to travel to CP, is there a shuttle available?

If I remember right Sandusky is a stop on the Amtrak train, at least it was a few years ago. The trains usually went through in the middle of the night. If that is still the case, you will have to call a taxi to take you to C.P. housing as I dont think the housing department runs shuttles in the middle of the night to pick up people.

I took the train there last year and the station is literally 5 minutes from the park. I had arranged for my TL to pick me up, then one of my crew members took me back at the end of the season. I got in around 7am, but I took the train coming from MD, not NY so i'm not too sure of your scheduled arrival time. Amtrak is usually late though. But a cab is probably your best choice, as it won't be much.

Scheduled arrival time is 4:30 AM so definately no shuttle busses... :(

I guess I'm gonna have to take a nap at the station untill Sandusky awakens. ;)

call a cab.. it'll probably be about 7 bucks to get to CP.... and with you contract you can process into housing.... i'd rather wake me roomates up at 5am.. then spend sleep at the station

The Sandusky train stop isnt a real station anyways, its just a few benches outside. (The old train depot is offices now for the city transit system) You will be better off just calling the cab and heading to housing, they are open 24/7 to process you in.

Thanks dude, guess calling a cab is the best thing to do then. Well I just hope that the train will have some delay, because 4:30 AM is a crazy time to arrive somewhere... 6:00 AM would already be a lot better.
