FRIDAY'S

The only problem I've ever had with food in the many years I've visited the park, was getting a pop without any syrup in it. That has happened a few times to me, but I don't hold it against them.

I noticed there were also a lot of volunteer workers working most of the food stand throughout Cedar Point all weekend. The thing that makes me mad is they do not train them how to make anything, run the registers or anything. Most of them have absouletly no clue what they are doing, and I think they should get trained on how to run their foodstand to keep things running smoothly.

I was happy with 3 rides on MF Friday. Sorry to hear some did not have a good time. I would like to know where to get a Cheese on a Stick? Back by Gemini there is a stand, but that area was a ghost town. Does anyone know where else they may sell them on Friday's?

They sell cheese on a stick at the Corral...across from the arcade on the main midway.

Well I'd never hire you for a service job then because as a business owner, I wouldn't care. Your problems aren't my concern, and they're sure as hell not the concern of my customers. You're paid to do a job for people that might get one shot at visiting the park per year. If you're having a bad day, that's your problem. Suck it up. You're getting paid.

For one I would never work for you. Judging by your attitude half the time anyhow it's a wonder you have customers. If that's your normal i would hate to see your off day.

I can't take working with the GP anyhow because i would just tell them how it was. Thats why i'm not in that line of work.

I guess i can see your point though. I know people have off days but, if it's their job to make the GP happy then they should "suck it up" like you said.

Note to everyone:

Friday's is an eating establishment or used to refer to something that is owned by the day after Thursday.

Fridays is the plural of Friday.

Stop raping English.

^^ Was wondering how long it would take for someone to point that out! Thanks.

As for those who feel that these people are allowed to have "bad days". No way. Sure, they are allowed to perform slowly from time to time, or even screw up an order or two. However, the #1 thing any employer in the service industry will emphasize is CUSTOMER SERVICE!

For instance, I was in a drive thru yesterday, and the people in front of us must have ordered something that requires being cooked in a crock-pot, because it literally took 20 minutes to get to the window. When we did get there, the first thing the employee did was apologize SINCERELY for the long wait. He then informed us it would be just a couple more minutes, as they wanted to re-make our order, so it would be fresh. Then he offered free beverages due to the long wait. I went from almost foaming-at-the-mouth furious to as happy as could possibly be, all because of a simple, easy (and cheap) and sincere reaction from the employee. In fact, I was happier after leaving than I was before I got there - even with the long wait.

Now, THAT is customer service, and even if your puppy dies and you loose your favorite shoes before work, it is STILL your job to treat every customer with respect, courtesy and a genuinely helpful and concerned attitude... and smile.

A bad day is a bad day. Anyone is entitled to having one. However, if it is a customer service job you shouldn't show you are having one. Personally i can't smile and be happy when i'm angry so thats why i don't do a CS job. Alot of times when you have "high school" kids working like you do around now at CP, they just don't seem to either care too much about showing customers they are having a bad day or aren't taught that they have to be chipper all the time around customers. There are people that just shouldn't be doing that kind of work.

I agree that customer service could be better, but, it can ALWAYS be better. Sometimes being in any type of service industry the word "no" must be used or you would be out of business in a heartbeat.

Little things like, "I'm sorry for the wait", or "This is my first week", can go a long way when it comes to customer service.

Or to put it in other terms; when there is total disrespect of: grammer, punctuation, and spelling it is hard to respect/ understand what one may be saying.

Beer and golf Thursday thru Monday, Cedar Point & beer, Tuesday and Wednesday.

Can you see One-Eyed-Willie from the top of Magnum?

I remember working at Cedar Point this time of year...it's fun, but It is not the easiest, the park is generally understaffed, and most of the workers are volunteers from colleges, churches and other groups raising funds for their organization. Unless they have a Cedar Point uniform with a Cedar Point name tag- they are probably being forced by their organization to go work there. Ride ops that are volunteers have a CP name tag that will say "Ride Pride", unless that has changed.

There is no excuse for bad guest service, but the reality is, the weather is normally not the greatest, most of the people have never had a job before because their mommy and daddy pay for everything & they are afraid of getting dirty, and the people are being forced to work a not so desired job by their organization. I remember being an employee, having to work with the volunteers was not always the greatest experience, those people wanted to do the bare minimum to get their check from CP.
