FRIDAY'S

I went last night 10-14.. what a joke.. Raptor broke TTD down long lines slow service people at foodservice were NOT even remotoly polite....It was the most UNenjoyable trip EVER.. buy one get one free.... no it should be Please come for free we are turning into six flags...... bought Nachos.. cheese was COLD not even warm.. all i can say is .. one word... SAD. With the recent changes and the people that they have hired i am going to rethink my family plans for next year.. NO more seasons pass for us after 16 consecutive years and i'm sure they don't care

Sorry you had a bad night but remember, it was a friday and some kids have to come in from college. So they have to hire friday help, like high school kids from Sandusky. What do you mean by buy one get one free?

Dude Bill chill out man. The regulars could be at college or something. Cedar Point is NOT perfect just like every other park. But do not compare CP to Six Flags.

I think staffing is often difficult for the park to get on Fridays in the fall. *** Edited 10/15/2005 4:30:45 PM UTC by DBCP***

Starlight Tickets, buy one, get one free. I was there yesterday and everything had quite a line for it being friday. One thing that made me angry was that on wicked twister there wasn't anyone to stop the people from just going into the station. It ended up being like magnums station.

So now it's gone from all the employes to only to the one's in food service. I had no problem with the Food Service this year.

i NEVER said everybody..... BUT It SEEMS THAT MOST EMPLOYEES ARE NOT EXCITED ABOUT THERE JOBS I am a service mangaer and if my team came to work like those people, they would be out job hunting.

It is a direct reflection on your company when employee morale is somewhere between horrible and miserable... just stating MY point which i am entitled to.
Next time your at the point.. look around for someone smiling.. someone enjoying there job ITS JUST NOT THERE ANYMORE!!!!

Dude if you don't have anything nice to say don't say it man. Take a chill pill. CP IS NOT PERFECT.

I actually saw a noticable improvement over the summer in food stand service.

It sounds like the park just had a lot of guests last night, which isn't surprising because the weather was nice. It seems the past few years it's been slammed at least 1 Friday night a season.

There are no excuses for rude employees or employees who just do not care. There is also no excuse to get cold nacho cheese from a food stand. I would have demanded they fix that either by a refund or by some more nachos.

That was easily one of the busiest Halloweekend Fridays ever. I've been going for years on Friday nights for years, and I've never seen a crowd like that.

Operationally, I thought they were in very good shape. I got on Raptor in about ten minutes, so if you didn't get to ride, I don't think you tried very hard.

Food service was slow, but the people I encountered were all polite and worked as fast as they could (which for the record was Hot Potato, the place with the sweets next to the MF tunnel, and Red Garter, where I had beer).

Food service has been generally poor the last year or two, but honestly I encountered no issues at all. Even with the huge crowd, it thinned out big time around 11. Even Werewolf Canyon's line went down to nothing and the poor slider in the Fright Zone had no one to scare.

I highly doubt that. You just can't fire people for having off days. I know alot of people that are wore down when they deal with thousands of people in a day. It's not always bad there especially not the same place twice. People have bad days and they get tired after long days. Just chill out and understand that. If you can't understand things like that then maybe you should turn your season passes in and not go back. It's people like you that b!tch all the time and make them have miserable days!!

WRONG.

Employees are paid to not have bad days. They are paid to be happy and do their job. Those same people bitching are the people who are paying their paycheck. Without them, the employees don't have a job.

Mm yeah sorry about your trip, but I dunno food service for me has always been great. I suppose if you're nice to them (say thank you, etc) they're nice back? No offense, but doesn't sound to me like you're very nice to them...

For the record, last time I bought cheese fries (which I'm pretty sure uses the same cheese), I burnt my tongue. *shrug* just a Friday, not yet up and running fully maybe?

I don't think it's a coincidence you had a bad experience on a Friday at this time of year. I am NOT making excuses for bad service, because there's nothing worse than paying money to get into the park and then encountering bad service, but please keep in mind that most of the people CP hires are college students and at school. Those that come back for weekends might not have been there yet, and you probably encountered a lot of workers who are not used to the job or were stuck there from another position and may have overwhelmed by the sheer volume of people.

I hope you'll give it another chance, because I know a lot of the employees really love their job... don't let one bad batch spoil it for you, please!

Also, if you have concerns, voice them directly to CP. They can't do anything about it if they don't know how you feel. They're VERY good about letting employees know if there has been a problem or complaint.

I don't know what planet you came from but everyone i know including myself has a bad day. Those things DO happen. Do you deal with the general public every day? There are some bad seeds out there that make workers go nuts. Some people that complain just to complain. If you ask me the general sensus in here from those people "paying their paychecks" aren't complaining about the service or quality of food they got at CP.

I haven't checked it all out yet but, some of the posts on that site are funny. But it does show how people can be.

It wasn't down, it just wasn't open. It never is on Halloweekend Friday nights.

Well I'd never hire you for a service job then because as a business owner, I wouldn't care. Your problems aren't my concern, and they're sure as hell not the concern of my customers. You're paid to do a job for people that might get one shot at visiting the park per year. If you're having a bad day, that's your problem. Suck it up. You're getting paid.
