Morning. We left our school around 7am that morning and arrived at the park around 9:40. When we arrived we noticed that Millennium Force was stuck at the top of its hill. Anyway we went into the park and had to wait about 15 minutes before they opened the rides. When the gates were moved, we ran straight to maXair only to find it down for mechanical reasons. No bigger so we ran to the Wicked Twister. Walked right on and was in the thrid last row. Simply fun as always. Dragster wasnt up yet as it kept rolling back with no sign of opening soon. Next we ran to the newly panted Magnum Xl 200. This coaster looks ten times better now that they panted it (well the parts that are panted). Got in the middle and had one of the smoothest rides ever even without the trims. Next was Gemini then that POS Mean Streak which beat the hell out of us. After a** whoppin number 1 came a** whoppin number 2 from the Manits. We got an untrimmed ride but paid for it severly. It was around 12 when they got Millennium Force and the people that were on it down the hill. I was shooked that there were people up on the ride that long. The Ride still remained closed. Next we were going to ride Iron Dragon but it was down. It was around this time that the Dragster opend but we held out on going for a while.
Afternoon. We stopped for lunch for a minute while still keeping our eyes on the clear sky because of the severe weather threat. After lunch, we headed towards maXair which was up but had an 30 minute wait. Next we were goin to do Raptor but it had an 1 hour wait. We settled on Demon Drop which had no wait adn afterwards caught a ride on the Sky Ride. We got on the Corkscrew then headed for the Dragster which had an hour wait but was only like 55 minutes with a 5 minute break down. We got in the second train. After the first train did its thing, it was our turn. We launched of, the best damn launch ever, and was going up the hill when it happened- my first rollback! It was scary but fun as hell falling 420ft. backwards. Ever one on the train was cheering and when the ride op asked us if we were ok we all said yeah and asked for another rollback:). He laughed and they reset the lauch and this time we made it over. Ever one in line cheered for us. After we got of we hit Power Tower, maXair(indredible ride and a very good addition) amd Raptor all within 20 minutes. After Raptor we hit Millennium Force which had opened around 4 and waited 40 minutes. After Millennium we used our freeway and rode the Dragster again before heading home and it finally started to storm on the way out the park.
Overall the best trip I have ever had with the exceptions of the beat ups from Manits and Mean Streak!
Roller Coasters- Born free; trimmed to death.
Very nice trip report, Manny4Magnum. Yeah Mean Streak and Mantis can give you a a** whopping. When I was there on the 16th-17th, I noticed that in the morning there wasn't alot of people there. But when the school's came in. man it got crowed. But it wasn't to bad. Man I wish I gott'en a ride on Dragster. :(
Quote from a Corkscrew ride op, "And Dragster is down again"
