Is there any chance the park opens to the public on the 10th? I have friends coming in from New Mexico and I would really like them to get a chance to visit the real deal, even if the park was limited rides and only open for a few hours. If I could get them in to ride the MForce, Maverick, Magnum, Dragster and Raptor one time it would be completely worth it.
No, the park will not be open to the general public on Friday.

I would go with the calendar, if it says no, it means no. Maybe read this website for more info: http://www.rev3tri.com/!/cedarPoint/faq.htm
Well Coolkid...thanks for the advice on checking the calendar. I should have thought of that! The reason I was asking was because I heard they have opened it in the past when the park has been said to be "closed to the general public." That's all I was wondering about. You don't need to be a smart ass. I just want to show my friends from out of town a good time and was hoping the case would be the same for this year as it has in the past concerning opening up for an abbreviated schedule to the general public.
All what I am saying is Cedar Point is really letting everyone know that it is closed. Years in the past, it was kept quiet about. A large group attempted to rent out the park, they didn't meet their deadline so like a week or two before the set event, Cedar Point opened the park up. Before anyone enters the website, Cedar Point has a screen that says: "Cedar Point will be closed on Friday, Sept. 10 and Saturday, Sept. 11. The park will be back in action at noon on Sunday, Sept. 12."
I really think your attitude is uncalled for. I was trying to be helpful but you chose to make the worst of my comment. In no way I was trying to be what was stated above. You asked for peoples input, you got it.
Last year was the first time this weekend had been bought out, so it was also the only time it was "magically" reopened. Really hard to draw a trend based on one data point.
Considering the park is doing everything they can to let people know it will be closed this Friday and Saturday, I'm going to go out on a limb and say there's no chance it will be open to the public until Sunday.
Goodbye MrScott
