It poured and poured and poured here in Michigan all morning long. But being the smart one I am, I still left for CP about 4 because of various reasons. Caught some more cats and dogs just near the Ohio border but then sun and a beautiful full rainbow appeared. Maybe it would be a good night after all. Got to the park around 6:30 and saw the nearly empty parking lot. Ran into Dan near the Front and stopped at Raptor for a quick ride then it was over to the Force. Got 3 quick rides, and with the fog from fright zone, they were awesome. I could not see anything from the bottom of the 1st turnaround until the top of the 3rd hill. Incredible rides all night long. Got in 10 total. It was then over to see the opening ceremonies with Elvira. A nice group of people were gathered so I got screwed into standing by the speaker, I'm now just about deaf in my left ear. She was pretty cool. Anyone notice how she had trouble remembering all of the facts she had to cram in her head. I hope she did better the 2nd night. Well it was then off to fright zone, which is like a 4th haunted house. People all over the place and I could not see more than a foot ahead of me. It was great. Then back to Undertaker U, the new haunted house. I liked this the best. Then it was a quick stop at Mine Ride and over to Magnum for a quick ride. The Gemini midway is open this year so you dont have to walk in a giant U to get all the way to Magnum from Mine Ride and so on. A great night ride. Then it was all the way to the front to Pharaoh's secret,
now in 3-D. Had to pay $1 for the glasses which I bet they make a killing off of because everyone bought them. Anyways it was basically the same as last year but with 3-d paint and images everywhere. A nice touch. Toxic tunnel of Terror was next and it was pretty much the same as last yr, but still great. Headed over to Raptor one more time and then to the Force to finish the night. I highly recommend you find the time to visit Halloweekends, especially on a Friday. I had a great time and did more than everything in under 6hrs.
