Friday, May 27 report

Ok i know i'm a little late on this post so forgive me.

If you don't want to read the long story here is a summary, Cedar Point was great! It was a nice day with little crowds. All rides were up and running except windseeker but that was ok.

I was very happy with CP especially being my first trip of the year. I arrived at about 2 figuring we would go till close and that would be plenty of ride time for us. When we walked into the park I was amazed. It was nice that ocean motion was at the front and actually there was a line! Also, I saw Pink's which has moderate prices for food. I tried the fries and they were great!

But i care about the roller coasters more.

The first coaster we did was MF. I was VERY UPSET. The line was a little farther than the start of the walkway. We waited 45 mins!! Normally the wait is a good 20 minutes. Sure enough, when I go through the turn stall thing, there is a careless worker who is not letting anyone in. They were hardly paying attention and several trains had empty rows in the middle because no1 was there to fill them. Also, the crew was working slower than usual but since its May, I give them a break. I do hope the ride moves faster though because in the summer, lines will push 4 hrs at the rate people are moving in the line!

The rest of the day was wonderful! Maverick was a 45 min wait but that is usual. Mean Streak (it hurts me very badly but I had to try it again) was a few minutes of a wait. I also saw Gemini was only running the blue trains. I didn't ride it because I like racing so I hope this is fixed over the summer as well. Next, came the Dragster. I myself rode it 4 times during the day. The first time, we waited 1 hr due to a breakdown. That was fine though but man were the trains moving fast!

I loved the crew at TTD! They were cheerful and rushed the trains quickly!
Next, we had some dinner but that doesn't matter.

It was about 6ish now and the park was deserted! Most people during the day were kids on a field trip and they left at this time. Pretty much all buses left at 6. Walking back into the park after dinner, I realized TTD was down but they just tested a car. We rushed to the enterance right when they opened it. It was a close walk on. We waited for front car though but that was 20 minutes more or so. The line though was nothing. You could walk into the station it was so empty! I rode 2 more times after that just because of the short wait. I would have ridden more but it broke down so I stopped.

BTW, I was really surprised how fast cars were going over the top of the hill of the dragster. Cars seemed to be going a good 20MPH at the top and they only launched the cars at 115 MPH. It seemed though that every other car would almost not make it. It would inch over and barely come down. People always started screaming cas they thought it stopped at the top.

After that though, we rode some more rides and then were very tired.
We left at 9 and were exhausted. It was truly a great day. I did more rides in 7 hrs today that I do in 12 hrs in july. So yep below ill post the ride count and a few comments.

Ride count:
MF-2
TTD-4
WT-1
Maverick-1
Mean Streak-1
Magnum-1
Mantis-1
Raptor-1

Improvements/Positives
MF- I hope they can move people through faster and that they wouldn't have a person sitting at the turnstile not letting people in.

TTD-Great crew! Best crew I've had in years! Keep up the good work!

And yep that's it!
Enjoy,

Don't always trust the speedometer on Dragster. It's acts wonky most of the time. I know from riding this year that it's hitting 120+mph REALLY well. I think they're running all 4 cylinders this year.

At least the speedometer works at all ;)
