Got to CP at 9:30 on Friday just to see the Summer Spectacular. Pretty cool. By my count only three sections were the same: YMCA, We are the Champions, and Proud to be an American. They did update parts of the Proud to be an American section with some pictures and video. Everything else was brand new. They did have way more video mixed in this year. The music wasn't bad. Seemed to have more fireworks than before. It was worth seeing.
On a side note one of the flame effects didn't go out. They had a nice little fire going for awhile. One of the CP people had to get up there with a fire ext. and put it out.
Sat 9th - Hot and Strange. We got there around noon and did the park fill up fast. It had to be one of the strangest line days that I had ever seen. The Raptor was using the temp queue lines because of the crowd. DT was lined up out side the building. ID,CS, Mantis, and Gemini's queue's were full. MF was full but not overflowing. Magnum had a smaller than usual line. The queue line looked like a 20 min wait. Some of the other rides were walk on's. This was the first day that I have ever seen a huge line for the Corkscrew and a small line for the Magnum. Something must be in the air. I told my wife that it would be a cold day you know where before I would wait an hour for the Corkscrew.....The weather was hot. We left around 4:30. Had to get home to get the swimming pool open. There is always next week...

I got most of my rides in the morning.. including 3 laps on MF before the crowd got down there.. first train.. out and back in line.. adn back in line again as the main rush came down the midway...

Mikey, aren't they doing that idea already on Gemini? Just curious why you're repeating it.

Well as long as fun is involved :). Just not entirely sure it would be possible for DT though. Given the absolute maximum amount of time, you're gonna have to pull off a ride every 10 minutes with no break. Given the queue length and loading procedures, good luck....

Yeah, having just come from the g100, I'd say you're going have a tough, tough time getting 80 on dt.

Sorry Rob, I stopped at Fridays, but wasn't familiar with anybody's faces. So I didn't even walk in to look. I sat in lobby for a few minutes.
Oh well! LOL
