Finally my day to process in! Truck and I arrived at HR around 2pm. Got my ID (hi Angie!) then headed into the park.Stopped in PR office to get totally harrassed ;) Off to park ops to watch that oh so exciting employee film. Arrived in dorm (had a room prearranged thanks to fellow GTTPer/GOCCer Flora) only to get totally bummed out to find out she wouldn't be staying. The room is a far cry from my house, (don't I say that every year?) but no roomies is awesome! :)
Unpacked.....bundled up (thankfully remembering my raingear) and off to the park. I knew the winds would play havoc on Raptor all evening and it did. Raptor up and down all evening, then the rains came. I ended up heading for the platform when all the other guests left to talk to the crew. Cool time for me obviousely since I got trained on the airgates (new to me!) and everyone telling me how excited they were I was coming back. About an hour later the winds finally died down enough to allow trains out again. I ended up grabbing seat 1-4, and all the other guests (who were definitely NOT dressed for the weather) loaded up the train. I snickered to myself knowing about the way the rain drips off the lift and how since it was still raining everyone was going to get drenched. I heard people screaming and moaning going up the lift, during the ride when I knew they got slapped with the rain, and the funniest part to me when when we hit the runway brakes, the rain on the train went FLYING forward and all I heard was "oh man!" from everyone who got drenched again. It was hilarious. I ended up riding Raptor a total of 7x that night and headed to Maggie. Hit her up once, then back to Raptor to find out, thanks to the winds again, it was done for the evening. I stayed at entrance talking to the crew and eventually when park closed headed back to the dorm. It was really a cold and miserable evening for anyone to be working there, or riding for that matter. Your typical Sandusky Friday night weather. Blech! :(
Hopefully the rest of the Friday nights won't be so bad for everyone!
(Tutu BE: There-I didn't whine too much, did I? ;))

It's all about getting around the barrels, or over the fences, right leads, no faults, fastest time and looking pretty when done. What's so hard about that? :)
