Friday October 17th
Sometimes the best of times at CP are those unplanned times and I had one of them Friday night. The weather in route to CP sucked and I had mentioned to my b/f I probably wouldn’t even go to the park since it was so bad out. The more north I got, the nicer the weather got. Jumped on the employee bus where I met up with Joe (GTTP fka: Vortex) and WT crew member. Ended up teaming up with him and had an absolute BALL with him. Much to my normal Friday routine (Raptor, Raptor and then more Raptor) we pretty much took on the whole park. We rode TTD 3x (NO freaking rollbacks for us yet, next ride we’re going to listen to Magnum Dan’s advise and grab the stairs ;)) Maggie 1x, WT 1x, Wildcat 1x, BS 1x, Raptor 2x and get this, I even did PT! We shot up because luckily Joe is as terrified of the drop down as I am! I had seen Aarons magic show the week before and talked Joe into stopping in there too. I enjoyed the show again and so did Joe.
The whole evening was really a blast, the high Po!nts to me was the flashlight on Raptor. I won’t go into details about it because you just had to be there to understand. I have to admit I hadn’t laughed THAT hard on any Raptor ride since Hooper and my b/f got together a few weeks ago. We got to see Mr Skyward a couple of times, no touchy touchy for me thank goodness! I would call this Halloweekend Friday a great success. Funny thing was Joe and I had mentioned ditching the park early and ended up staying past close anyway. How’d that happen?? :) Thanks to Joe for hanging with me-it was awesome!! :)
Saturday October 18th
Knowing this Saturday wouldn’t be the Hell last Saturday was made going to work much easier for all the employees.
It seemed like a typical Saturday until early afternoon when Raptor started acting jacked. We ended up going down for about an hour and 1/2. Later on we went down once more for another hour or so.
Contrary to what some guests might think, we would much rather have people on and riding then to hear some of the rude and uncalled for comments from some of the guests. When a ride goes down why can’t they remember it is NOT the fault of the crew member? One guest telling one of us that he was going to sue because he had to pee and waited for nothing? WTH? Where I can share in some of their frustration (rides have gone down when I’ve been a guest too) but Raptor is NOT the only ride in the whole park!
When Raptor finally fixed for the night, the 2 down times ended up costing us dearly towards closing. At midnight we still had FULL queues and the Raptor crew and I didn’t depart the platform till almost 1:30am. Lucky for me I only had to do crowd 1x and entrance 1x. Thank goodness for ride prides!
The best part of this day for me is when I was asked to ride by one of the silver tags. That was the push I needed to go the rest of the day :) Downtime makes the day drag on so this Saturday felt even longer then the previous Saturday. In bed after 2am, and had to arrive back at Raptor at 8:25am thanks to Joe Cool. Joy! :(
Sunday October 19th
Suffering from a severe lack of sleep this day wasn’t too bad at all. Beautiful day and was a typical CP Sunday total lack of guests, many empty seats on trains. I saw alot of fellow GTTPers and met a few new ones again, none of which mentioned their screen name to me so can’t mention them here by name :( I saw Joey, (Coasterkingoftheworld) and his wife Catherine (Catherine) who I hadn't seen in so long!!! :) I had alot of fun tormenting one of my fellow
Po!nters, Greg, when he rode, and CPDave made the day fun too :)
Raptor ran like clockwork all day. The high Po!nt of this day for me was the 3 rides I managed to get. The funniest one was when the guest next to me said "how many times have you ridden this?" I said "this will be my 832nd time" He paused and said "are you shi**ing me?" I rolled! :) The crew ride at end of night was awesome too :)
That was my last Sunday as a member of the six flipping sky kicking chicken crew. As always was so glad to be heading back home again Missing my kids and my b/f (and my own home, bed, bathrooms) really gets to me sometimes, I’m lucky no state highway cop has caught me yet booking down 98 cause I would be in BIG trouble!!!
Thanks to all who stopped to say hi! :)

I was the one who strapped myself and as you walked by I said "Are you Raptor Jo?" Then later I came back and asked if you'd hit 1000 yet, and you told me you'd hit it next year ;).
