Fri 10-12 & Sat 10-13
A couple more awesome CP visits for me!! :) B/f and I arrived at CP Friday night before opening so we could buy our season passes & parking pass for 2002. By the looks of the "lovely" Sandusky sky we anticipated crappy weather, and were thrilled by clear skies and temps in the high 60's. Awesome riding weather! Crowd? Non-existant. In no particular order, hit up Maggie 6x (got to see our famous Magnum Dan too! :)) Demon Drop 1x, Matterhorn 1x, we actually did PT 1x (gasp!) up of course, Cedar Downs 1x, MF 6x, (even waited on front car for one ride) fog on the island makes this ride extra super at night!
We ended our evening lapping on my fav bird of prey, got in 10 laps before closing, I got to see Matt & Tony, and even got to hear "welcome aboard Jo's favorite ride Raptor" by one of my former crew members who was on controls-too funny!! :)
Raptor was FLYING and we even waited on the front car for one of the laps. Oh yes and saw Mr Skyward 2x, with his Halloweekends sweat shirt on. I actually waved at him and he immediately looked up, not sure if he was ignoring me or just being himself!! ;)
Saturday-arrived at park at 12:30pm. Since we rode so much the night before we could just walk around and take it easy. We were at the 2pm GTTP, got to finally meet Servo, met Kally, Kingofthecoasterworld, & Catherine. Of course old favs were there too, Rob, Sabrina, Monster Ride Op, Freaky and his friend Don (?) and I know Im forgetting like 5 more (ok Rob or Sabrina, you can help me out here since you did such a good job of it yesterday!) None the less it was great meeting some of our new members or ones I had never met before. The newbies will learn what a tight family we all are! (I've been here 3 years already!) We all split up and b/f and I hit up some rides after visiting with some more of my CP friends. Mean Steak (no wait-front car-pretty good ride actually) Blue Streak, DT, and Maggie.
And btw Rob-too bad Vertigo was down or I was going to ride it too!!!................NOT
We left park by 6pm due to wanting to get home to the kids (human, canine and equine) and we really did have a blast. It is so cool knowing so many people in the park and certainly hearing people screaming out "Raptor Jo!" and waving at me when Im on lines or just walking around. I just LOVE CP-it truly is my heaven on earth! :)
This season has just been going TOO fast!!

Welcome back Raptor riders-how was your flight??
I was at the park on Saturday and I thought it was REALLY busy!!! Gemini even had a 10 minute wait! But, afterall, it was one of the nicest days I've ever seen in October. The haunted houses were awesome except for the Pharohs Secret(or whatever it's called) But I got my 2002 pass so I was happy!
Ir was a pleasure to meet you LuvRaptor...its coasterkingoftheworld (aka Joey)....I was happy to see so many enthusiasts at the meet. Of course, there was wildcat.Adam, servo's Ron, Gemini Witch (Sabrina), Red Garter Rob, and all the others you mentioned. Catherine and I were pleased to meet everyone there. By the way, when you sat behind Catherine and I on Maggie at 1PM or so, Catherine told me it was you, but I wasn't sure. As usual Catherine was right.....That's why I am hanging around her....LOL!

Coasterkingoftheworld-my b/f was the one who rescued your coat from Maggie when we were in the platform. Dan-so sorry I didnt wait for you at the exit.....not like you happened to stop by Raptor that night either!!!

Jo knew it was your b/f who rescued my coat. He seems very nice. Makes you lucky! (He might be a bit tame for the wilder Jo we've seen before.) Having Catherine makes me lucky! Thanks for the great trip report too!!!
Saturday was a great day weatherwise. When I went out to my car I saw 80 deg. on the sign above the ticket booths. On a better note, I tried to get on the Magnum at about 5:20. It broke down as I got to the platform but I waited it out till it came back up at 5:45. Got on and rode it then but they forgot to put on the trims. That was the best ride I ever had on Magnum. Because of the lack of trims the air time was HUGH on the return leg.

Kally and Coasterkingoftheworld-will definitely see you guys again I am sure of it. Yea my b/f is a bit "tame" compared to me at CP but then again, the only one who can compare to me at CP is Hooper, who just happens to be my PIC :) :)
Tony-gotta hit the Po!nt at least 1 more time before season ends :( so you will definitely see me again! You and Matt KNOW where to find me (the same place you found me before!!! :))
