My last day as part of the '03 Raptor crew :( Hit up the employee caf early and walked around the park for over an hour before heading to Raptor. Working at CP it was always one of my favorite things to walk around the
park when it's empty.
Once reported to Raptor, I heard the best 2 words I
could possibly hear, "cut back" :)
The weather was awful for the guests, rainy and cool, sometimes downpours. My raingear was again a God send!
I had a blast on spiels, maybe because I knew that it was my last day. I made it a point to say "go Marlins!" many times!
Running controls seemed extra special to me that day. The spider on the block brake camera lens was hilarious. This spider was HUGE, and it would creep it's way in front of the lens, almost blocking the entire view of the brake. Even
knowing the spider wasn't even close, I still scooted as far away of that monitor as I could get! Blech! :(
Cut back came at 8:30. Keeping in mind here that at my real job if I was told I could go home early I would
do just that. So why did I just simply take off my ID and decide to play in the park anyway??
The 1st thing I did was take a train ride and it was SO cool! The fog was INCREDIBLE thanks to the moisture in the air. And you really could not see 10' ahead of you in during the train ride.
I then stepped aboard Banshee which was trimless and was HAULING! What a ride!! Headed back to Raptor for a few rides, then WT, even Blue Streak, ending with Raptor. I left the park at close. Was invited to Louie's then
ended up hangin at Bayside and took full advantage of daylight savings time. Sleeping in the dorm that night (morning?) seemed more tolerable just knowing it was the last night. It was a great day working in the park,
then night playing in the park, I found myself amazed that the next day was already closing day.

It's all about getting around the barrels, or over the fences, right leads, no faults, fastest time and looking pretty when done. What's so hard about that? :)
