Yeah, you'll have to pay full price then, unless you save one of your four free tickets. Then you'll get in for free. Or you could buy a discounted ticket before you leave too.

Yep, I knew someone who got a coaster position, and she applied in april last year. It all depends on staffing needs.

I know this has nothing to do with the free admission, but if I were to get some extra tickets for some friends, how much would they cost discounted? Im just curious.

As a Park Admissions employee, I can confirm the statement that they were $28.50 last year. (I had to memorize ticket prices and so forth...) You had to buy them at Human Resources, though, not at the entrance gates. I am sure they would be around that for the upcoming season.

You didn't hear it from me, but sometimes the international employees will sell their 4 complimentary tickets to you for even cheaper since obviously, their friends and family won't be coming to visit and it would be to their advantage to make money off of something they wouldn't use.

Yeah but they really are not supposed to it evens says that in the guide book but that does not stop people anyway. If you do decide to sell your complimentary tickets don;t let any of the higher ups find out I myself have never sold my complimentary tickets. But some people sell them.

I never sold any of my complimentary tickets nor did I buy any, but it's easy enough to trade favors -- work someone else's shift or trade your short shift for their OC in exchange for a ticket. There's always a way to find more tickets!

Just beware that if you do get some tickets from someone else, and that person is terminated, those tickets are no longer valid, they won't allow you to enter the park.

It's the same for your own tickets, if you receive your comp. tickets and you are terminated, they won't work anymore. As long as you just don't disappear and you process out, your tickets should still work for the rest of the season.

Tyler are you sure about that? I could be wrong, but I think they'll work. Half the time on busy mornings, they don't even scan the tickets, they just throw them into a pail and you go right on in and run with the bulls! :)

If the tickets are scanned they will come up as 'red', as long as long as HR recorded the serial numbers properly. I helped out on the front gate a lot this summer, and it happens a lot. We actually had some parents try to use tickets their daughter sent them, but to their surprise, she had been terminated.

I know this past summer, there was only one time when I was there that we took tickets at mass without scanning them. But there are times when they aren't able to scan every ticket immediately, but those Admissions people are pretty good, so I have faith in them.

Wow, I never knew that they cancelled the tickets if someone gets terminated. I saw the tickets being taken at mass at the marina gate - don't know if that makes any difference, but it has happened on more then one occasion that I've witnessed.

Thanks Tyler, I was the Team Leader at the front gate and I can tell you there were very few times we did not scan the tickets as people came in. If a ticket comes up " Red" we must check and if it is stolen or the employee has been fired you must buy a new ticket.
