Former Restrooms and Foods Zone 6 1997

Ok Jenn, you have convinced me to do this! As a former Restrooms employee (1995-1996 Best Crew in the Park) and Foods Supervisor (1997 Zone 6 ROCKS), I as several others of you experienced a lot of stressful situations. Over the summers I found many humorous ways to deal with these situations. One being to write spiels for the restrooms I was cleaning. Yes, that's right, I had spiels for my restrooms! If you don't believe me, just ask Jenn about them! So, at the urging of Jenn, I have decided to post a few of them for all you to enjoy. Keep checking back, there will be more! Here we go...

In a recent survey, more people agreed that working Trail Restrooms was better than sex. Due to the strange results of this survey, we set out to find what makes this set of restrooms so satisfying. This is what we discovered.

1. Wildcat-Isn't the name enough?
2. Pet Farm- If you don't get hot and bothered in this restroom, something's wrong.
3. Red Garter-It's in and it's out, Over and Over again!

So there you have it, just three of the reasons working Trail is better than sex. If you're having any doubts, we challenge you to work this set of restrooms. We guarantee your satisfaction! Can you accept the challenge and not come screaming back for more?

Those of you who have been in or worked in any of these restrooms will appreciate this! More to come gang!
Ok gang, here's another one!

Good Afternoon ladies and gentlemen and welcome to the Raptor. Please remember to keep all hands, arms, feet, and legs inside the restroom stall at all times. Please remember to fasten all safety belts and harnesses for these toilets flush at speeds exceeding 60 mph. When the flush is over, please remember to exit your stalls carefully for the floor may be wet and your safety is our biggest concern. So please, sit back, hold on tight, and enjoy your FLUSH here in the RAPTOR!

We tried to get Jenn to get us some portable mics to take into the restrooms so we could do our spiels that summer, but she didn't think it would be a good idea! After you work those RR for so long, especially the ones beside the rides where you hear the spiels day after day, over and over again, it begins to sink in your brain! Enjoy! More to come!
OK, just a side note! If any of you remember the Restroom Address that was and still is printed in the Behind the Lines, that too was one of my creations. For those of you who don't remember, I am still looking for a copy to type on here so you too can enjoy it's meaning! But in the meantime, here's one for those of you who worked in Foods, 1997. Anyone remember the pep rally we had in the Imax theatre? Anyone remember my shirt that I wore underneath my uniform? For those of you curious, we had a Foods pep rally with some friendly competition in zones. I made a special t-shirt to promote zones 5 and 6 and wore it under my uniform. At the pep rally, I got up to make an inspirational speech, and in the middle of it, I started shedding my uniform top and on the back of the t-shirt it said..."hey Zones 1,2,3, and 4" and when I turned around to the front, it said "Fry This!" with and arrow pointing downward. Well, needless to say, a few got ticked, and a few took it as the joke it was! Jenn still has that shirt, I gave it to her as a momento when I left that summer! I hope zones 5 and 6 are living up to the legacy we left behind that summer!
That's great!!! I want a shirt like that! ;) Greetings from the 2000 Unit 61.

And Jen.. I have the original restroom address.I will forward it to you!
Cool Jenn! Some of my stuff is still at my mom's, so when I find it all I will have more to post!
Jenn, I'll have to think of something really really really really nice to say :)

Jenn, Jen, Jenn, Jen...anyone else getting confused here? ;)

Just thought I'd grace you with another one of my smart comments (Jenn and Megan are you getting sick of them yet?)

Oh and Jenn, you better keep that shirt hidden, especially since it goes the other way now... :) Y'all are just lucky that I wasn't at that rally in 1997. Now THAT could have been interesting...

Hmmm.. I'n not sure it goes the other way around Heather!!! Although ( to start a little competition here).. I certainly think Zones 1 & 2 & 7 will have to really get moving to compete with 3,4,5 & 6. Jenn, Jen, Jenn, Jen & Megan know the truth though... 5/6 kicks butt!
Had you been at that rally it would have been great. But you would have been the only one from 34 really showing any enthusiasm that year. All the competition was between 1&2 and 5/6. Glad to see that you have been so instrumental in changing that around
Well Jenn, I don't think anyone could have beat Zones 5&6 in the summer of 1997, and I have to say that I feel pretty damn proud of myself and Joe to have such success at our zones that summer considering all the different switcheroos we had with partner sups. Lord how many partners did I have that summer anyway? But let me tell you, there will never be another pair of sups like Joe and myself! LOL Jenn can attest to that! Even though we had different zones, we pulled the two together as one big zone, but still managed to keep some healthy competition between the two. Lord was that ever fun! Even though my feet almost fell off that summer! That was not fun! ANd if you thinkthe Jenn Jen Jenn Jen Jenn thing is confusing on here, try working with the two of us and trying to keep it straight! LOL
Hmmm... Jen, I will be surpised if Megan doesn't comment on the Sup team from '97 having big competition from the sup team of '98. They were sooo good that after I removed one of my sups, I never had to fill the position. The three of them ran both zones together and I didn't have to constantly be replacing Sups. You and Joe sure had it rough with all those partners.Total count was 12 different Area Sups in ONE summer. For anyone thinking this is ridiculous.. the sups weren't picked by me !! But they were certainly removed by me! Now, of course, I feel guilty..like I am pitting one sup team up against another.. '97 had you and Joe.. and the squirrel :) but '98 had the three amigos, the secret place, the men in blue and raising the roof! I was only an Area Manager until July of that year, but during those three months I must say that 5/6 couldn't be touched! Jen, they would have made you proud for all the groundwork you did in '97!!!!!!!!
And Megan.. I am not discounting the 2000 sup team. You guys were awesome.. I don't have first hand knowledge of working with you though.
Boy did we ever set the groundwork, a lot of blood, sweat, and tears, and did I mention sweat, and did I mention tears? LOL I'm glad that the sup teams after us were able to carry on the tradition of being "Simply the Best!" Foods was totally being revamped the summer of 1997, and it made it hard on all of us, but all I have to say now, since I got some priveleged information about a former Foods Area Manager, is DING DONG THE DAMN WITCH IS GONE! Was that mean? Oh well! Just had to say it! Anyway, I hope that foods can continue to keep up the good work and enthusiasm!

Sweat and tears in '97??? Nah.. I never broke out in a sweat.. I never cried more than once a day.. Do you remember this? " (number to remain nameless ) to 7.. are you AWARE that Happy Friar has been out of napkins for two hours????" or the 30 minutes argument that ensued in the break area directly after this.. or "Park one to Foods 2... what's this squirrel doing on this Eskimo Pie cart".. or how about the unit sup at Corkscrew.. "I'm sorry Mr. Miears, I can't give you no nachos. I ain't got none" ( and she was sitting on the boxes of them at the counter). No.. I never had sweat or tears in '97
Now how could I forget all that? Or how could I forget (shall remain nameless)to 61, were you aware that Stockade is still not open? And then, a few minutes later (shall remain nameless) to 61, could you signal 2 to stockade? I just loved those early morning beratings I got! For the whole Foods division to hear! If it weren't for Joe some mornings, I might be in the state penitentiary now for murder! LOL Just kidding! But anyway, we had some wild times!

Okay, Okay, I'll comment!!!!! Yes, Jenn, Jen, Jenn, Jen and Megan all agree that 5/6 will always rule! And Jenn, yes I would say the '98 supervision team gave '97 a run for their money from what I've heard. :) After all, they're the ones that made it so wonderful that I'm now returning for my 4th season! As for 5/6 2000, what a turn around from '99, we did have a time of musical area sups, but other than that, we pulled together so well, especially at the beginning of the season and at the end, That first week, not many people found things wrong with our locations!! ;) Oh, and Jenn again, who else would help you sweep the midway in front of Happy Friar!?!? ;) Thanks again for the comment on that that night.

Wow, that sounds familiar, I had 10 different partners in 1998 between the zones; for awhile there it seemed like there was a new one every week! I was a stand sup in 1997 at the BBQ, but once 98 rolled around it was all about the transformation of Zone Pride...okay well maybe it happened more in 99. As you all have reminisced, I also spent most of my time in 1998 getting my rear chewed at half hourly intervals. I can't speak much for 1997 because I didn't get out of my stand much, but as far as '98 goes, I have to give props to the back of the park for everything that they did. You guys definitely defined "Foods Pride" to the rest of the park (ok well you better quote me now because you may never hear that one come out of my mouth again!) Of course you also gave me something to shoot for. By 99 I had figured out how things ran and was able to focus more on the "pride" issue...I am proud to say (much to the disagreement of everyone else who checks this thread) that Zone 34 has proudly taken the reins for the time being. Of course we must mention the other great things that have come out of it for the whole Foods Division, especially the CP Pride Club.
Through the work and camraderie of the middle and the back of the park, we have been able to successfully host a site which promotes the questions and thoughts of its members; hopefully resulting in suggestions for future seasons! Of all the change that has been brought about in my Zones for the past three years, I would have to say that the CP Pride site has been my most proud accomplishment. Sure we have the Zone 34 times and the Zone 34 webpage, but nothing that can impact more employees than CP Pride. So you see, as I will greedily claim the title for "most pride" in Zone 34, I have to admit that the thing that has made me "most proud" is the one that will hopefully bring the WHOLE park together in seasons to come...

Heather.. you and zone 34 have done the whole division and the whole park proud!!! And Megan.. You saved my life that day. Hours of not looking at anything but the pan and broom in my hand and the people on the midway.. the sweeps, ready to fall from exhaustion and some of them with fingers darn near bleeding from trying to keep up.. and I look up and what do I see? A Foods Sup on the midway with a pan and broom, sweeping in front of Happy Friar. I wasn't sure whether to cry or hug you.. but, you enabled me to have the strenght to make it through the rest of that day!!!
