Forever...

I don't think Magnum has changed at all since I first rode it in 1998. Perception might be that it is getting "rougher," but how much of this has to do with the fact that two B&M's and now three Intamins have been built in the same park since Magnum. Of course when compared to rides that are smooth as glass, Magnum might seem "rough," but to me it is still the most fun ride in the park. If I want to feel like I'm riding on my sofa, then I'll get on a motorcoach or Millennium Force! :) If I want to ride a coaster, I'll ride Maggie!

I wouldn't give a dang if Magnum was removed. If they removed Frog Hopper, they I'd start one of my protests.

Nothing lasts forever. All the rides will stay there untill they cost to much to safely run, or are moved/removed to build a ride in there place. Older rides are more expensive to maintain because there parts get more and more expensive. Magnum will eventually become unsafe to operate without replacing the track and structure. I think they would build a totaly new ride instead of trying to do a mass steel replacement. This year will be Magnums 15th season, I think it will last another 10 or 15 or more.

Well, if we want to speak in really, really, really, really, really long term here, the whole park will be gone eventually because we all know its just a matter of tens of thousands of years before Lake Eerie floods and covers the whole peninsula as well as Sandusky.
