Foreign Employees

Why are there so many foreign employees at the park? It is always interesting to meet somone from Poland and all the other places the people are from.

1. There's a labor shortage for these kinds of jobs.
2. In my opinion many have a better work ethic. (May have something to do with the fact that some make more in one summer than their families do in a year.)

Also, some of them think it is a great oppurtunity to travel. I talked to three foreign employees last year who were planning to rent cars and drive around the states after their contracts expired. Working at the park apparently funds such extravagant acts of whimsy.

I think work ethic has something to do with it. One of the guys on my crew is always asking to see where he can get extra hours. I have no idea how he does it. I wish I had his energy. :) And yes they do make more money once the money is converted from American to their nation's currency. I also think it's wonderful for the American employees (even tho some of the Americans can't see past their own noses to get to know them). It's a way of bring the world to us when a lot of us are at the age where we don't have the means to travel outside North America just yet.
