Next year, I plan on getting a job at Cedar Point, and I know this thread is REALLY early to start, but what is better to work: Food Services or working in the gift shops? I'm not old enough yet to operate any of the rides, so I've narrowed down that I want to work in either the gift shops or Food Services. Can somebody give me some pros and cons of both?

If it were me, I'd go the route of the gift shops. I worked in both environments as a kid; an airport gift shop and in several food locations. I'm just not big on the "dirty" element of food service. For an 8 hour shift I think the gift shop is going to be more comfortable.
Your day will proabably go faster in a food location because they tend to be busier...making the time go by. And, you are more likely to work in a bigger "team environment" in a food location. Some store locations might be staffed by a single person, or maybe two at most.
So, it really comes down to personal preference...and who will hire you.

-Walt Disney
I have been leaning toward the gift shops for a while, because they also seem quieter and less... Chaotic...
