Best In-Park Values:
Panda Express - $6.99 Panda Bowl
Johnny Rockets - $4.99 Egg Salad Sandwich
Midway Market - $15 Buffet
Best Values Outside of Park:
TGI Friday's
Famous Dave's
Bay Harbor (good value for fine dining steak & seafood)
I think every restaurant in the park is now at $3.59 for a "regular" size soda. 20oz bottles are $3.00 inside the park. Outside of the park, prices vary and can be somewhat lower. For example, there are still $2.50 20oz bottle machines in the Hotel Breakers and TGI Friday's still only charges $2.45 for fountain drinks with free refills!

TGI Friday's had Coronas for $3.50 yesterday...which is a pretty good deal if you ask me. It was a special of the day kind of thing.
I would also say that if you want for $5 to get away with filling yourself. You can get a bag of chips and an all beef hot dog from those Johnsonville stands.
That might be a contender for cheapest option for park food.

I took advantage of this yesterday. I could not believe it. In Frontierland, next to the Blacksmith shop...an outstanding Johnsonsville brat, bag of chips and 12 ounce *bottled* soda for $5. It has to be the best deal in the park.
Compare that to $4.99 fountain drinks on the midway, $4 pretzels and $5 hotdogs.
"Happy Friar" french fries, which used to be $3.79, are now $4.69 with large Pepsi products ringing in at $4.99 - On top of that, last night at 7:30, every restaurant I tried to go to was closed for the night, and the places that were open only served fried foods and burgers.
I realize that park food isn't the healthiest food in the world, but when I'm dieting down, and have cut out red meat and chicken from my daily food, and the only places that serve salads have closed their doors at 7PM on a 10 PM closing, it's frustrating.
As with movie theatres I am pretty sure CP makes most of its money on food. Also some on lodging. It is very expensive to run a park.
It costs $7 each time TTD is launched. Consider someone in the park goes on many rides and they cost a lot to operate. With $43 admission they are not making that much if you consider payrol, admin, upkeep, etc.
I try to look at it like if I buy a $5 slushie it is keeping the rides going and I feel a bit better.
I'm going out to get some air.
Really why are we complaining about food prices? Anywhere you go with a captive audience the price of food is high. Be it Cedar Point, Six Flags, the theater, a fair, or places of the like the price of everything is higher.
Suck it up.
If you don't like the prices don't pay them and pack a cooler.
