Flying Over Cedar Point

I like that idea! Maybe they are going to feature Goodyear as the sponser of "Dragster" since they are good racing tires. That would be a nice little promotion during the video.

Sorry to bring up an old topic, but I have a few questions about flying to Cedar Point. What I'm wondering is if I can get someone to fly me up to the sandusky airport, will I be able to get somesort of transportation to and from Cedar Point? And if so, how much would that (as in the cost of ground transportation) cost. Thanks for any help that you might give.
Do you mean by taxi?

Mark, there are taxis available. There about $4-5 each way. But the airport might have a shuttle of some sort available.

From www.cedarpoint.com:

There are two local airports serving the Sandusky, Ohio area:

Griffing-Sandusky is a 5-10 minute drive from Cedar Point. A shuttle to Cedar Point runs from 9:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. every day that Cedar Point is open. The cost is $8/person round trip and children under 6 are free.

Sandusky County Regional Airport is a 25-30 minute drive from Cedar Point. Enterprise Rent-A-Car service is available at the airport.

I'm almost certain that I flew over CP on the way back from LAX in California. Am I wrong?

Cedar Point is closed for the season. Reason? Freezin!

A family member of mine who is a flight attendant says that he regularly flies close enough to CP to see the rides on approach to Hopkins.
When I last left Ohio to come back to FL in August I had to change planes in Chicago..and sure enough we turned just in time for the whole peninsula to come into view..was early am so no clouds or haze...crossed right over the causeway. I was way sad because i knew it would be at least a year before I got back up that way again...and to think...I couldnt wait to move away from Ohio back in 92...

From Tampa Bay to Sandusky Bay, Mm'k?
