Arrived around 1 after picking up our season pass certificates from Tops on 250, waited in line for around an hour to redeem the certs when someone finally directed us over to Guest Services since we had our pictures on file from last year's passes. Took about ten minutes there, kind of unorganized but as always, nice attitudes from the GS folks. Parking pass went smoothly as well. Lines were really short all day, no more than 20 minutes for anything, including maXair.
All I have to say about that ride is that the reports were pretty accurate... I was totally worried about getting nauseous like I usually would on something that moved like this ride does, but that moment never came. It was thrilling, but I must say that the restraints are VERY large, covering what seems like half of my body and giving me no way to look any way but straight. Claustrophobes beware, you will feel pretty trapped on this ride, more so than any other I can think of. So, besides the seating not being comfortable, everything else was great. The line moves fast due to the large capacity, and standing at the ride's fence area on the side opposite Twister (where you're facing maXair and Twister at once) was quite a thrill in itself. The ride seriously looks as if it's coming at you before pulling up, then looks as if it's going to drop on your head. Great stuff!
My downside to the day was waiting an hour, not realizing I didn't have to... and a couple of employees that were actually kinda rude. Not like normal, rule-enforcing, smart-aleck kinda rude like most ride ops have to be... just rude. And since when can't you just hold your hat in your hand with your wrist through the fitting loop? Being forced to stuff it down my shirt then feeling it about to fly out was not a happy moment for a former ride-op that never thought twice about a hat around the wrist.
Upsides, we rode just about everything but MF, no longer than 20 minutes each, mostly good experiences, everything's clean and safe as always.... food was GREAT (Coasters, Toot Sweets...) and parking was prime! Front and center :-D That's all for this time... Opening day was a blast and the fireworks to cap the night were a perfect fit for the mood. Another great show from CP!

Did you get a ride on TTD? I saw on the webcam the line looked a little long but not too bad. Just wondering how it ran today.
Coaster Count: 147
We got there around 8:55 and had our passes done and everything by 9:45. Beginning was dead, walk ones for raptor, WT, Magnum, Power Tower Green not that those rides are exactly feature rides anyways. We did get on Dragster twice one with freeway and other time the line was short. Also one Millenium and some Magnums and the same old coasters which are still great. We also eat a lot and brought cards to play poker even though its an amusement park oh well. We didn't go on Maxair cause we heard it was around an hour or so and we dont like waiting to long for rides so we just went to Gameday Grill instead. Maxair is probably dead in the morning but since I got season pass Ill do that some other time. Park wasnt as packed as I expected which was cool. Pricy foods as usual but the rides are still great. Great Day at Cedar Point.
CP is the place to be!
Magnum looked ok, but they only painted about half. It seemed to look unpainted after the tunnels (AKA pretzel loop and such).

Yes, you are correct. I asked a ride op on magnum about that, and he said they'd probably finish in September. So Maggie will be half moly orange and half ugly-ass orange for the season, it seems.

When they finish painting, it still won't look right becuase what they plainted this year will look palers (due to sun fading) when its against the new paint :P

I got 2 rides on TTD, the second with a rollback, it was up for most of the day, and the line wasnt too bad.
I noticed that there wasn't really a queue outisde the entrance for TTD, looking at the cam... the line got really long first thing in the morning, then it seemed like they just let them all in. I hope it's like that from now on; the way they had it last year was annoying. I also noticed (by cam again) that they're running the red train this year. Which one aren't they using?
They rotate one off daily. Yesturday it was the Light Purple one.

My 10-year-old son and I were planning to make our first appearance on May 21, but the anticipation was too much, so we decided to show up on opening day. The consequence was that we had to redeem our season passes on opening day. We arrived at 6:30pm(I had to work Saturday). The line for season pass pictures was so long, it looked like we may not even get our pics by closing time. About an hour later, some CP dude led half the line to the entry gate and started letting peeps in without having completed the redemption process. We were happy to head for Magnum as our first ride of the year, but in the back of my mind I knew I had to get our passes before the night was done. We returned to the season pass place at 9:20pm. Well, we had our passes in hand by 9:56pm and quickly ran for a final ride on Raptor. The fireworks started shooting just as we departed the station, and we got to taste the smoke as we went up the hill, and then watch the fireworks from various angles throughout the ride. That was definately the high point of our trip. Then on Sunday, we rode almost every ride in the park... Happy new year everybody!!!!
