First Time Employee

I just got done with my interview with Oz and he hired me. I was wondering, Do they have specific spots for newbies? And I'm starting in late June so will I just be fit in with another crew? Sorry I could've answered that last one. Thanks, look forward to working with all of you.
O Yeah, Instead of posting another topic I'll just ask here too. How bad are the CEDAR Dorms?? B/c they are the oldest and the cheapest. Any suggestions on Housing??
They spread out the newbies through out the park..It wouldn't be right to have all first years on the same ride..Cedars isn't bad, it's on point and cheap..and short walk to work..

Why did you say that Doug?
I lived in Cedars my first year, and it wasn't as bad as some people make it out to be. We bought an A/C unit, which was REALLY worth it. (they charge you about $20 to have it installed and a small monthly fee) The location can't be beat either. I loved being able to walk to work and not having to worry about traffic. On the 4th of July, you'll be glad. My first impression wasn't that great, but after a while the place kinda grew on me.

This past season I lived off point, and while the rooms are nicer, they're smaller, at least in the Commons dorms anyway. Dealing with the traffic was a downside, especially once the park really started getting busy. You've gotta leave quite a bit earlier to get to work on time.

Hope that helped.

Thanks Montu. I figured cedars dorms would be the must convenient. I don't want to be driving around in my car stuck in traffic and all that. The A/c thing is a downside but for under $70 a month? Not that bad, I guess I'll bring a fan or something. Thanks again.

cedars isn't that bad. the only real down side was for me no cable in rooms. and the whole rumor of how things happen in the showers at night it is all a rumor. people love to talk about cedars being like some rampant sexual man on man affair. people always talk way to much at cp. and scare the newbies. whatever you hear at cp about someone else or something don't beleive it. there are just to many rumors floating around. except the one about me being gay.......i am always happy!
Cedars and Gold are about the same. I lived in Gold last year and the fan really didn't help...an AC makes all the difference. But I don't recall an extra fee for that.
It would be hard for them to charge you if you, say, installed it yourself and didn't tell anyone. Not that I would do a thing like that or that I'm speaking from experience. Yeah.

AC is mandatory, though. You might as well pick one up at the beginning of the year and just spend the ~130 bucks right there instead of suffering 'til you give in and drop the cash.

im new too sooo yeah im feeling the same way i hope everything is like i expected my teacher mr cellio got me into working here.... soo.. hopefully what he said to me when i registered is true..
