First experience being a ride Operator

This is what I meant but the thing cut off my Topic

-------------
...We hope you have a great day here at Cedar Point America's Rockin' Roller Coast
Two days before opening day 1980 (yes it was that LONG ago)...I HAD TO spend three straight hours on The Blue Streak. All I could think of was WOW this is great, and we are getting paid for this!!! I spent this summer working on Shoot The Rapids what a summer!
This is an actual quote from one of my Ride Ops roomates "They could train a smart, wait average intellenge chimp to do our job, we should make like $3.00 an hour." Thats not entirely my view, remember my roomate is the one who said it.

Yesss, but I wouldn't trust a ape running Raptor when I am on it. I don't think they would tell funny jokes on Paddlewheel either.

Jokes on PE: 120
Maybe they could train a chimp and they probably would communicate better with the guests, but they wouldn't know how to have as much fun as we do running the ride.
My first day as a ride operator found me standing watching two round rides that are no longer part of the park. The catch was, I got dizzy on round rides, let alone watching them for 10 hours...add that to the incredible sunburn and I wondered what I had gotten myself into!!! I did get past the barfing , though to complete not only that year, but the following!
